Last I checked, black wasn't a colour.
apparently black doesn't exist then
if not a color than what?
What annoyed me the most in man of steel wasn't really the lack of color as much as it was the crushed blacks everywhere. It makes the movie really difficult to look at because too much of the screen is practically pitch black.
And daylight scenes are full of overblown whites
It's called a fuckin' polarizing filter, not exactly rocket science
Last I checked, black wasn't a colour.
So black people are not a part of the people of color?
Last I checked, black wasn't a colour.
what is it then
it can't be a lack of color, because thats white
what is it then

Depends on if you mean scientifically or artistically. Scientifically the absence of color is black. Artistically the absence of color is white.
Last I checked, black wasn't a colour.
So what you're saying is that the next time someone asks me what color my car is I should just say:
"It's not."
So black people are not a part of the people of color?
I was taught by my old art teacher years ago that Black and White were shades. :v:
Last I checked, black wasn't a colour.
They fucking teach this shit in kindergarden ffs, there's no excuse to be this dumb.
Last i checked, DE:HR has color. Mostly black and gold, but still.
didnt the directors cut fix the color problem anyway
They fucking teach this shit in kindergarden ffs, there's no excuse to be this dumb.
I know you guys feel this way a lot about stupidity and you make it pretty obvious all the time, but why does him being "dumb" make you so fucking angry?
I suspect it was probably not down to him. Big ips like this rarely give their directors full creative control, and watchmen was a smaller project, Snyder probably had a lot more creative input on Watchmen than Man of Steel.
This is pretty much true, Takeshi Kitano and John Woo mentioned the lack of control in Hollywood in comparison to other industries.
Dunno about you guys but I didn't mind the yellow black colour palette DE:HR had going for it. Comparing the Director's Cut versions (which toned down the filter) to the original version of the game and it looks worse to me (just looks like all the colours were desaturated. I actually really liked the colouring, thought the world looked super nice. It gets repetitive on the eyes after a while, but I still liked it.
