I just thought it was kind of funny how the one Klansmen was so polite and didn't want to interrupt their prayer session when bringing them chips. It's like "wtf don't you lynch black folk?"
I think it was more that he couldn't deal with it.
I think it was more that he couldn't deal with it.
I didn't get that vibe. When he said to the camera "they're prayin', I can't do that, they're prayin'..." it felt more like he was being respectful and less he was afraid of being involved.
That one dude's speech 6 minutes in. Holy shit. What the fuck?

What the fuck?
that's the imperial wizard; if memory serves correct (at least for the old Klan, there's multiple iterations of it) Imperial titles were for national level Klansmen and Grand is for State level. Wizard was about as high as it got. Grand Dragons were state level; Imperial Wizard was the big guy. I wouldn't be surprised by what he said (because of his rank within the Klan). Disgusting, yes, stupid, yes, hateful, yes, but am I surprised? Not even a little.
No wonder suicide rate is high among soldiers, for fucks sake.
Actually, the suicide rate among veterans is slightly below the national average for people in their age group.
I can't help relating their thick southern accents with lack of education and ingrained racism. I know most southern Americans aren't like this, but damn... the only examples of southern people we're usually exposed to, in the internet, tend to be uneducated hillbillies. :/

Also, I may be wrong, but while I do know the marine snipers used the ϟϟ mark in some capacity, I don't believe they've used the totenkopf at any point.

Everyone knows what it used to represent, is it an attempt to take a symbol and repurpose it? You have idiots like that guy, misinterpreting its newly intended meaning and suggesting it means "herp derp USMC are pro-KKK!!1!1!!111". With that excuse, they could "repurpose" the Nazi Germany Imperial Eagle and make it look like a bald eagle. That KKK dude would jizz his pants.

I'll admit though that it does seem to have backfired heavily, it's constantly referenced by pro-military white supremacists and anti-government radicals. [T]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/08/Marine_scout_snipers_with_SS_flag.JPG[/t] And here's the flag they were seen with, no visible totenkopf, and apparently they were ordered to stop using it two years ago.
Those people he interviewed all seemed like they were completely broken. Though admittedly, not just from the PTSD. Interesting watch, but pretty scary.
