The Continuing Saga of Mel's Hole - One of the best paranormal stories you've likely never heard.

The title "Mels Hole" is very misleading :(
I got 7 minutes in and got bored, seriously these conspiracy theories are stupid.
Yeah, "The government doesn't want us to know about this really deep hole!" This shit is stupid.
You're not really contributing anything to the thread with posts like that. If you have that much difficulty to enjoy a story, you're in a wrong place my friend.
Besides, it's not as much a conspiracy theory as it is just a discussion about paranormal. Listen to the original broadcast from 1997.

The weirdest thing according to Mel, is that one night, he saw black "light" coming out of the hole. "A solid beam that was blacker than black" in Mel's own words. This led Mel to believe that it might be tied to somesort of cosmological events, including unspecified alignments of the moon.

Yeah, took me right out of the story. Completely unbelievable.
This is so unbelievable it's ridiculous. How can you believe that there is a giant seemingly bottomless 9 foot wide hole that spits black beams out of it?
nobody really believes it
it's just good reading
jesus i bet you're great at parties
Don't worry he swore to the bible his accounts must be real!

Of course when you say it bluntly like that it sounds dumb, but the entire purpose of this thread is to listen the original radio recordings and get immersed into the story as Mel gradually reveals more about the hole and it's history.
It sounds so unbelievable in your head, but at the same time, it sounds really interesting and believable because of how the story is presented and told throughout the radioshow.
It's just a story for fuck's sake, so even though it's sounds bullshit, you can still enjoy it for what it is.
It's just a chunk error.
I might enjoy this if it was intentionally a fiction story, but when there are stupid people that actually believe this, it's just a little obnoxious.
nobody's forcing you to sit through it
there's no we

The porn parody of it should be called 'The Continuing Saga of Mel's Asshole'
What is your issue? I'm contributing to this thread more than you are. At least I'm not derailing trying to be an asshole. Shut your mouth.
I have a great idea, why don't you both shut up and stop arguing?
Also Mel needs to get enough stars to make the hole not endless anymore so he can fight bowser
Part 6 right now, I really want to believe in this type of paranormal stuff but I think this is full of shit.
Yeah, it's the famous "Well to Hell" hoax. There's a wikipedia article of it here.
Also, here's the sound clip which they supposedly recorded at the drill site:

A word of warning though, it's really disturbing.
The reader said the tape was taken from the BBC, the source might not be a Siberian mine, but rather a "sound experiment" done by the BBC Radiophonic Workshop.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBC_Radiophonic_Workshop
They made all the sounds and music for radio and TV programs around the late 50's to the 80's, and alot of the stuff was really experimental. So it's possible that the "hell sounds" just might be a sound made for a dodgy British Si-fi.
Well, that's my theory anyway.
