Simple TOS violation and they banned him to show that their TOS had teeth. Considering how popular Lankist was it's actually a crazy strong message that even the super popular posters can be banned due to a TOS violation.
However, ip-permabanning for something that is less racist than most of the crap I hear on a regular basis on damn near anything on the internet and clearly satirical is a little overboard and silly.
Also, the action seems to have influenced Lankist's decision to discontinue the comic, as it appears, because he sure as hell could have simply picked up and moved it to any other forum site, I mean, for chrissakes they're not going to cross reference other sites to dig up posts and re-ban him from something random.
Unfortunately the lulz was killed, yet again, by dumb rule over-enforcement. It's not like anyone was horribly upset by Lankist's "evil, evil post" and, well, it's the bloody internet. It's not like someone puts a gun to your head and tells you to be offended. It's pretty easy to choose not to be offended by something like that. I mean I'm a half white, half Arab, American and I sometimes run into posts being flagrantly disrespectful to "fat lazy white Americans" or "terrorists" and I just sit back and laugh at some of the dumb crap people say. Mods are just protecting people's interests and making sure people don't get offended, even though it's one of the stupidest concepts I've ever seen among anything, forums or real life. It protects people who let themselves get butthurt over dumb crap like e-personal attacks or e-sweeping generalizations.
R.I.P. ME2 MS Paint Misadventures. It was a fun ride until something so incredibly dumb killed it. Here's hoping that Lankist finds it within his aviators' heart to continue this somewhere else and at least contract a mole to post a link to it here.

After that plane went down with all of those Polish government officials Lankist was the only loose end keeping Greeman and his followers from seizing power in Poland. If Lankist had simply stopped posting here someone might wonder where he's gone.
