STOP SHOWING BALD MEN! Show the shuttle!
I wanna see it live from the shuttle itself ! not in 3d :(
Damn NASA could make a Space Shuttle, but couldn't put a camera on it!
There will be live shots of it on final approach from the Heads up Display on board the shuttle, and a live shot of it touching down from somewhere near the runway, as well as a few live shots of it in the sky still a hundred miles off
But it's SO far from USA. It'll take hours! :saddowns:

I think there's a black out during the deorbit, in the atmosphere. Well, I know it was like that in the apollo missions, don't know about the shuttle.
What I'm getting to is, that they probably can't send videos anyway.
Yeah, shuttle has a black out period as well
And it's about 50 minutes from touch down, wooo, probably less, I forgot what time they were supposed to be down
Awesome, i always just miss out on watching the NASA feeds, watching it now.
Cool, I'll already be home in 50 minutes.

They do. They just have to stow the antenna for video uplinks during re-entry (for obvious reasons).
40 minutes to go...
For those wondering why it's doing some crazy manoeuvres, this is what it's doing:

Fun Fact: 3 Astronauts turned on their Air Packs after Challenger exploded
Ok not really fun, but it's interesting, and sort of related. 30 minutes to Touchdown!

Doing it now I think.
It's pretty crazy that one of the little movements on that screen every second across the ocean is probably more than I could walk in a day.

Probably more than you could walk in a week.
Nah cause it might take a week to go from the southern point of cuba to the northern point which is like 20 of those movements judging by the current proportions.
Should hear the epic double sonic boom any second now...
6 minutes to touchdown!
Here comes the Bewm Bewm!
awesome booomzzz
Biggest fucking glider ever built :iia:
Was that Spacebat?! heh
