Underoath guitar cover (oh ****, not this guy again?)

Kenny Bosich (The previous drummer for The Almost) called me up because he had my number. I hung out with Aaron for about a week, and I called him him, and now he has my number. So when he called me, he said "Dude, want to be the new drummer for The Almost? Aaron said you were one of the best drummers he has ever seen." (Which he actually did.)
"Who is this?"
"Kevin Bosich, man! You called me up and told me you hung out with Aaron? Yeah, Aaron and I want you to be the new drummer for The Almost. You in?"
"Hell yes!"
Wow, that's insane. Your so lucky man, what was it like hanging with Aaron?
I hope I'm lucky enough down the road to join/make a successful band as well, call me crazy but touring sounds like a blast.
Oh man, great suggestion, I tried learning that song when GH3 came out and failed, but mind you that was..2-3 years ago? I'll definitely check it out. I agree, that song is really cool, I love instrumentals like that.
There's an Underoath song thats instrumental, its not quite as experimental as Impulse but.. its such a beautiful song, check it out if you have a few minutes:

You could do that song, But if I were you, I would cover all the instruments and string them together in one video, The Two guitars are the hardest, Bassist is being simple and so is the drummer. I would do that too!

hahaha thats a huge request. I've never even touched a bass or a drum kit in my life. But it would be pretty cool to collaborate with some other people or something and make an all-out instrumental, I agree.
I enjoy Underoath but BMTH not so much. Their style of music just doesn't sound good to me. They have couple songs i like though.
Boo hoo he covered a song not everyone likes, and covered it well.

Totally agree, I haven't listened to BMTH since I covered that song like a month ago. I don't think I'll be covering any other songs by them.

Haha no kidding, I get a kick out of people who try to shove their opinions down my throat anyhow. Now that there isn't really a rating system on Youtube (the thumbs up thumbs down stuff is stupid), there's no real consequence for posting videos the majority of Facepunch hates.
SO YEAH, LET THE HATERS HATE.

It's not really hard to cover a song that's all chords.

like, if you messed up on a song that's all chords, you could safely call yourself guitarded

It seems to me that you are a liar considering The Almost already has a new drummer.

Octaves aren't really chords? I dunno, I see your point though. And if you watched it, you'd see that there were some harder parts, mainly when I cut to the second take about halfway in. But no, I agree that it wasn't a hard song, it only took me a few tries to get down. I'm saving the difficult songs I want to cover for when I've got more time for guitar :)
And I really like some songs by BTBAM, so maybe I'll look into a song by em sometime. Haven't listened to the other two bands though
I'm not an Underoath fan, but that was a very good cover. Well done.
Decent guitar skills.
God-awful music.
I know, I just can't get into "REAL" metal (Judas Priest, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax, Iron Maiden, Metallica, stuff like that) I'm not saying its bad, its just not something that interests me. But yeah thanks for the comment, I'll keep what you said about the guitar volume in mind. Though if I put it much louder it will get really distorted (in a bad way..lol). The song was set at -3dB while the guitar tracks were at +3dB, so they were louder, maybe not enough though.
I fixed that for you. Black Sabbath started the metal trend, and some of those bands were the ones who personified it. If you want "metal", you want to listen to that. That's true metal.

Oh, give me a break. I used to be a genre purist until I realized how goddamn retarded it is. If the guy likes Underoath, he doesn't have to force himself to like any of the "true" metal bands. And who cares if there isn't any shredding/soloing in the song - music is music.
Underoath and BMTH are bands that are what they are, sure they're not "metal" in the traditional sense - but they aren't trying to be either. Just give it a fucking break.

See this whole elitist sense of what "true metal" is pisses me off. Why does it even matter? I've tried listening to the bands that "started metal" and they don't interest me one bit, does that mean I have a shitty taste in music? Does it mean every metal band that didn't pioneer the genre sucks?
Like I don't really care if you think Underoath sucks, that's your opinion, but I want to hear the logic behind your side of the argument.
