Alright, didn't know which one to go with at the time so I just chose their newest album.
No problem on the Nils Frahm review, even though Wintermusik can be a bitch to find sometimes.
I still chose that one though, since what's a better album for winter than literally 'winter music'

I got into some punk rock/whatever the fuck you could call it and I listened to Blink 182.
Enema of the State is the best album of them, I don't really like the newer ones (Neighborhoods), and of Enema of the State, Adam's Song was my favorite. The buildup between chorus/verse and the guitar just does it for me.

Honestly, to me it just sounded the same
as Weather Systems, for better or for

Shinesparkers - Harmony of a Hunter: 101% Run
A bunch of different artists got together to remix tracks from the Metroid series. 10/10. Absolutely phenomenal. I thought it was just gonna be a bunch of orchestral remixes but boy was I wrong, tons of variety and none of them stray too far from their sources.

Listened to this one because I'm a sucker
for anything related to the Cthulhu-mythos.
Pretty sweet, dark, almost ambient classical
music with a really well done narration every
now and then. The atmosphere was good
and the album had some really great melodies,
although it's not very memorable and only
works as a full album.

Kind of reminded me of Hurtbreak
Wonderland at times, which I absolutely love.

Really lofi with very simple instrumentation that definitely calls for a good listening setting, something away from a PC. Really refreshing folk-punk type lyricism, that begins to taper off in terms of quality towards the end, but not by much. Some may find the sound samey throughout the album, but I enjoy it considering its concept.

Definitely one of the best slowcore albums I've ever heard. For being at the front of the movement, it's surprisingly well polished, with long melancholic instrumental sections. Kozelek's warbling, emotional voice fits the tone of the album perfectly. Some would argue their later offerings eclipse this one, but [i]Down Colorful Hill[/i] is arguably the most dreamy, detached album that Kozelek's ever created.
You might like this album if you like: Idaho, Slowdive, Galaxie 500, Codeine, Neutral Milk Hotel
rollercoaster is great too, can't say which is better though.
AC/DC Highway To Hell 9.5/10
Heard parts of the album already(more of an individual song person than an album person). Some really nice beats in the songs, considering getting it on vinyl when I start a collection next year with a bit of luck.
Built to Spill - Perfect From Now On (1997)
i really didn't think i'd like this when i got it, but it was much better than i thought it would be.
airiness is a bit of a theme in the album. the songs are laid back and relaxed - but most of all, totally inoffensive.
that might sound bad, but it's alright in this case; the album pulls off inoffensive pretty well.
8/10, give it a listen

better. It's still easily noticeable, but

really good tracks and some more
forgettable, kind of 'eh' tracks.

Definitely the best one of the bunch that I
listened to. Then again, I have a gigantic
boner for classical-sounding scales, which
this album definitely delivers. The mixing
is a bit wonky, as it feels like it lacks
some bass, but in comparison to some
other albums of the kind, it's pretty good.
Overall atmosphere is a great, kind of
dark, almost gothic atmosphere.
The actual songwriting was absolutely
ace though.

The aforementioned soft-mixing is
much more noticeable here, which

same level as Scarlet Rapsodia's,
altough this one has a few more misses
than SR.

This album is definitely the most varied
of the bunch, but also has quite a few
really weak tracks. Then again, there's
quite a few very good tracks too, so
that kind of balances it out. The mixing
is decent enough, but some of the
tracks feel very ehh and lack energy
and feel. It was entertaining enough
for me to sit through it, but its
definitely on the bottom half of these.

This one definitely has a few more
misses than the last few, but the
good ones are still very good and

Iron definitely stepped up the mixing
here. The instrumentation is still the
same as always: fast paced heavy
metal. This one is definitely better
than Sparking! and Black History,
but still not quite as good as
