That happened me, but with the album Mirrored by the math rock band Battles. I really couldn't stand the music at all. Until I listened to the album a few more times. Then it started to grow on me and I ended up liking it a lot.

Loveless -10/10 The fuzzy guitar drowning out the soft spoken yet intelligent lyrics makes for an awesomely strange listening experience. Overall it's fantastic, if you haven't picked it up yet, do so now.
This album It was kind of weird
It's orgasmic!
The fuzzy guitar drowning out the soft spoken yet intelligent lyrics makes for an awesomely strange listening experience.
I can't even hear the lyrics. Not that it's a bad thing; I love the album but looking up them online they aren't anything too special. It's more about the actual singing than it is about the lyrics.
Stop doing what?
Insulting people while using an alter ego of me. :argh:

Tyler The Creator - Bastard - 2009 B+ No doubt I thoroughly enjoyed it. There are styles here that are new, that is why I can see it will have an effect on the genre. At the age of 17, he is able to craft something with ease it seems. He just wants to pour his brain out onto a disc and give it to people. It is outlandish, that cover bends the mind slightly. It isn't much of a "horrorcore" album which is going around lately that he is. This is simply abstract and hardcore in terms of the genre. Very nice debut. [editline]8th May 2011[/editline] Tyler The Creator - Goblin - 2011 (DELUXE EDITION) A This is a lot to take in. The first was only a hint of what he is trying to say as an artist, but this is on a next level. He delves further into the madness, and this time he is able to bring the bigger picture. It isn't for the light-hearted, he has the capability of creating disturbing images with ease. The thing about this type of artistry is that here, he can really pull it off. Compared to Eminem's madness, that only smudged the surface of this. And I don't mean musically.... probably I do. Top quality album that has a lasting effect, I need more. What makes it unique is that it vurges on being "Dream Pop", which is true but I don't think it takes over the music.
Insulting people while using an alter ego of me. :argh:
This is my main account now, it is revealed that I am not you
This is my main account now, it is revealed that I am not you
But you're still making me look bad. :smith:
But you're still making me look bad. :smith:
How the hell is he making you look bad. His name right there is "Not Akayz" so no one can be confused. It's like if a white fat man by the name of Barack Obama took LSD in public and ran around naked or something before getting embarrassingly arrested and tasered by the police cops. No one would start slandering the Pres of the US because of it because it's obviously not him.
Loveless -10/10
negative 10 out of 10? :psyduck:

Listening to In Absentia on vinyl. First time this whole week I've not been busy doing music stuff to listen to music :v: 9.9/10, it's not perfect, but dammit it's unbelievable
TV on the Radio - Dear Science - 2009 A Great, bright sounding art rock album that has a tinge of funk to it. There is some outstanding instrumentation on this album and it is definitely up there with greats of it's kind. I've listened to "These New Puritans" and they don't come close to this.
Mesita - A million shades of sky 7/10 A great solo project Mesita manages to be fresh while not alienating his fans. The actual album feels well put together with the instruments being used in a very minimalistic manner but they sound brilliant. Overall a breath of fresh air Mesita has acheived simplicity while keeping the listener interested, my only complaint is that sometimes the songs may sound samey.

Goblin album of the fucking year all years.
Goblin album of the fucking year all years.
It's sublime.
lol i saw some review that gave it like 6/10 was pretty convincing too but i don't really have an opinion
I've not listened to it yet, but Bastard took some time to get into. He probably judged it off first listen. I've heard others say they didn't like it that much straight away but it grew on them.

Goblin is a tough listen... I had to listen to it all with intent, on an hour and a half journey. It's safe to say it's his masterpiece. But he is still young.
