I don't really get the whole "Neighbourhood" thing, the songs don't seem to have that much in common.
funeral might be one of the most important indie albums of the 21st century

Not the first time I listened to this chill, hypnotic psychedelic ear-sex by a long shot, but I really fucking love this album. Unfortunately the only one I have from Ozric Tentacles, need to check out their other shit.

90s britpop at its finest. Fantastic look at British life and romance at shit. Plus Jarvis Cocker has one of the sexiest voices in music history.
I must also add I like how in the liner notes of all their albums it says, 'Please don't read the lyrics while listening to the music.'

I do that sometimes :v:
Is it considered a bad thing?

Well if the band tells you not to; I guess so.

Pretty dry production with only two guitars and a drummer but man with what they've got these girls rock.
No idea you kept a list of all the albums you rated akayz.

All of the albums on that list are worth a listen.
guess it's time I've stopped completely ignoring indie rock from the past several years then

No Is This It? I'd call that pretty important

Indie's flourished over the past few years, it shouldn't be ignored.
I'm catching up on indie rock right now
Listen to Two Door Cinema Club's album Tourist History. I highly recommend it.
No Is This It? I'd call that pretty important
or White Blood Cells. both those albums were big in garage-rock revival.

Liable to change a lot, but I don't think I'll ever be bothered to edit it.

Probably because it's not indie. More Alt rock.. forget it, I can't be asked to name genres any more :(

I'd call them indie, but that's because I use the term incredibly loosely. Some people call them alternative, garage, whatever.
For the love of god Indie is not a genre.
Fucking accept it already! Yes, it IS a genre, it describes a very particular sound and style
I fucking love White Blood Cells, should I give Is This It a listen?
maybe sure go ahead why not.
For the love of god Indie is not a genre.
This is how arguements start.
I consider it more of a term than an actual music genre, like classic rock.
Fucking accept it already! Yes, it IS a genre, it describes a very particular sound and style
Indie means indifferent, meaning that the band records while it is not signed to a big recording company, it has nothing to do with the way the band sounds.
