4x4=12 - Deadmau5
3/10
This album didn't deliver, deadmau5 is an artist who should be able to deliver something better than this. The album seems to record a complete change in musical style for the Canadian DJ, going from his usual slow House to something more fast paced and dance-y not to mention a foray into Dubstep with ''One Trick Pony''. Ironic, because that's how I'd describe this album, a compilation of experimental work released as an album. Deadmau5 seemed to take a risk stepping out of his musical comfort zone, a risk that didn't pay off, re-releasing ''Everything Before'' (It Sounds Like) seems to sum up the half arsed effort of this album.
Deadmau5' got lazier or something, I can't think of a better excuse as to why his quality decreased so much, so quickly.
He's actually admitted that he didn't put enough effort into it.

Laid back and groovy as hell straight from the desert. Perfect on a sunny evening.

Pretty damn fucking good for a remix album, loved it
It's amazing to see how professional this shit is, some songs actually made me think they'd fit in a movie and all.

I liked it the second time through but then after replaying it over and over it's kind of boring now unlike Kezia and Fortress. I'd still say this is the best album regardless though

After hearing Apple Pie, I thought it would be pretty good.
Ended up not liking a lot of songs on the album.

There....
Okay, what to say... I don't really want to go into how it's all influential and "all-time classic" and shit...
What I will say is that this is something else :smug:

Fantastic album, the revival of noise pop, kind of like a feed back masterpiece: Great sounds, with loud noises, the first time I listened, it actually busted my head phone speakers, so there's some nice sounds here. A more secular noise album, I think, but that's not a bad thing. I love it, and reminds me of Death from Above 1979 in many ways.

Black Sabbath - Master of Reality - 1971
A
This is inspired, although I do see hate concerning the themes however I think there is more to see in this piece. It's dynamic, it's explosive and it's melodic... there is much to say.
I wasn't quite as moved with this as compared to the debut or Paranoid, but since I love Drone Doom, this is a significant album in my collection.

The Postal Service - Give Up - 2003
Great album. First time I listened it was way back when I was overly picky about vocals and I kind of disliked it. Got back to it eventually and realised how wrong I was. Listened to Death Cab For Cutie but lol it's not as good I mean. idk I just really like this music. It's so light and idk. idk. It's good okay.

Jimi Hendrix and his magic band - electric Ladyland
A good third of the album is boring and forgettable but it gets a 10 outta 10 just because of All Along the Watchtower.

I like that book.
I just finished listening to Sing Along Songs for the Damned & Delirious.

Honestly, I didn't like it as much as The Butcher's Ballroom. However, it still gets five stars from me.

Beautiful album, the kind of music I put on when relaxing and trying to sleep.

It's my favorite I have read of all the books I have read. It's probably the best ever written, but that's going pretty far.
