That is all.
Yeah they're really great, going to change my avatar to something from their site [editline]28th July 2011[/editline] also listening to this right now [editline]28th July 2011[/editline] discovery - daft punk
Bright Eyes - I'm Wide Awake It's Morning 4 stars You do have to get used to the singer's voice, but this is a fantastic indie/folk/country album. The lyrics are extremely well written with great attention to detail in every line. The arrangements perfectly complement the lyrics with regular shows from steel-guitars, mandolins, and trumpets all playing wonderful melodies. Also country artist Emmylou Harris does some wonderful backing vocals on some tracks. Bright Eyes is pretty much the confessions of Conor Oberst and I highly recommend anyone to hear his sung diary entries if you're into singer/songwriter crap.
Man I am digging the fuck out of digital love right now
Discovery is one of the funnest albums I've heard. Love it.
Discovery is one of the funnest albums I've heard. Love it.
Not as listenable as Homework I feel.
I like it better than homework Justice, and Daft Punk/the Tron Legacy soundtrack have convinced me that not all electronic is bad
Not as listenable as Homework I feel.
Yes it is. Stop lying.
Listening to John Maus... that's some new electronic that actually good.
I like the 8 bit kind of sound nintendocore is nerdy imo [editline]28th July 2011[/editline]
Yeah they're really great, going to change my avatar to something from their site [editline]28th July 2011[/editline] also listening to this right now [editline]28th July 2011[/editline] discovery - daft punk
I give this album a B+ or a 7/10 upbeat, catchy electronic.
10/10 Some of these songs sound like Bruce Springsteen with strings. Anyway a fine album from Arcade Fire but compared to their debut it's not nearly as grand or epic and some of the songs tend to blend together. Especially the ones in the middle. The closest the band gets to the grandness of Funeral, which is why I love that album, is probably No Cars Go. But even then it doesn't feel like the band is putting all their oomph into it. I guess they were too tired from the previous album. Still on it's own merits it's a fine album with great atmosphere (it was recorded in a church!) and some nice moody lyrics. yuoah!
You make no seeeeense [editline]28th July 2011[/editline] Helms Alee - Night Terror Well this is pretty amazing. Maybe it isn't intentional, but to me this sounds kind of the lovechild of stoner and indie rock. Very beautiful and heavy at the same time. It's not perfect though, sometimes I feel the songwriting is a bit sloppy. The transitions don't flow perfectly all the time, and sometimes I feel they hold a chord for too long. That's really the only complaints I have though, and I highly recommend it to both fans of contemporary rock and stoner/sludge metal who want to try something new. Listening to Mono's album You Are There atm
I love that Mono song with the slow build and epic crescendo... oh wait
I see what you did there
I don't know, I usually don't hear Rap but this guy is just awesome. His new album is such a great thing to hear. He's the only rapper you can hear in Germany, others are just painful. 9/10
Had this album a few weeks now I didn't want to rate it after the 1st listen through because I know it would have been biased because I was in suspense waiting for it to get to my house. After the initial play through and I calmed down I seen the light. The album is good and is on my ipod for when im out but it could have been better for his second solo album. Anyway highlights for me include All my cheating and I'll Find you. 7.5 more towards 8 / 10
8/10 If you don't know what album this is then you lose at music. Anyway this would have gotten a perfect score if Moonchild wasn't a big bore and didn't suck ass through a straw. The other songs are fantastic though with great choice of instrumentation and great atmosphere.

6 or 7 out of ten, will have to listen to it again because I was listening to it during maths and I had to take a bud out every 20 seconds
>moonchild >big bore >mfw
I agree with him. King Crimson have some really good improvs, but Moonchild was just 10 minutes of tapping.
I just don't feel that the jam had any momentum. It goes nowhere. On the plus side the title track was right after it so y'know it's like a light at the end of a tunnel.
listening to daft punk makes me happy digital love is such a nice song, makes me wish I had someone though
you always have Daft Punk.
Not quite the same, but that's comforting The 8bit guitar solo is orgasmic, really gets me going
Kraftwerk - Expo Remix - 2003 (?) A Ever get the feeling you want to listen to the same song ten times over, and pay full price for an album siple so you can do that? Then Expo Remix is not for you - every song is unique, even if they are remixes of one single song. Expo Remix is a collection of various versions of Expo 2000, by both Kraftwerk and various other DJs. Songlist: 1. Expo 2000 (Radio mix)* 2. Expo 2000 (Kling Klang mix 2002)* 3. Expo 2000 (Kling Klang mix 2000)* 4. Expo 2000 (Orbital mix) 5. Expo 2000 (Kling Klang mix 2001)* 6. Expo 2000 (Francois K & Rob Rives mix) 7. Expo 2000 (DJ Rolando mix) 8. Expo 2000 (Underground Resistance (UR) mix) 9. Expo 2000 (UR Infiltrated mix) 10. Expo 2000 (UR Thought 3 mix) Asterisk denotes official Kraftwerk mix - Kling Klang is their studio The four official Kraftwerk mixes somewhat let you track the development of the song- the 2000 mix (very similar to radio mix) loses its backing click beat for the 2001 mix, leaving that one much more ethereal sounding and ambient. The beat returns for the 2002, along with a completely new intro. The Orbital mix, which divides the official Kling Klang mixes, is a rework of the song into a very fun, fast-paced, poppy sound. The DJ Rolando, UR, and UR Infiltrated mixes rework it into more standard techno song, with clapping hands or pulsating, pounding beats maintaining the rhythm. This is a departure from the slow beauty of the original song. Mainwhile, the Francois K & Rob Rives mix is a return to that intense beauty: industrial noise echoes in the background like a heartbeat, culminating in a very rapid increase in volume which blasts your ears. The remainder of the song is relaxing, after this moment's terror! The final track on the album, UR Thought 3 mix, is worth note because it's such a sad song. Probably the most unique on the album, it completely gives a totally satisfactory conclusion to this album.

[release] The Protomen Self-titled 2005 Goddamn. Now this is fucking awesome. The very first time I heard a song by this band was "The Stand", when someone posted it in the LMAO pics thread. It sounded pretty nice, so I decided to check this album out. The first time I listened to it I didn't really like it that much. It was cool and all but nothing really special. Second listen? Holy FUCK is this awesome. It has a lot of emotion, a surprisingly dark story (well, as dark as a rock opera about Megaman can get) and kickass riffs. The only thing that I didn't really like was that sometimes the quality was a bit meh. Otherwise a kickass album from a kickass band.[/release] [release] The Protomen Act II: The Father of Death 2009 I listened to this album right after I listened to the first one. It was... disappointing. While the first album had dark music with a dark story, this one has much lighter music with a much darker story. Thats my first complain. The story was really kickass but the music didn't fit it at all, unlike on the first album. And this one had way less kickass riffs and overall kickassery. Some songs are still quite good, like the title song, but as an album, it was an incredible disappointment to me. I'll have to give it a few more listens to see if I start to like it more.[/release]
Holy crap your opinion on ACT II is so wrong it's not even funny
Album: 10 Great Songs Aritst: The Band Rating: 7.5/10 All around a great album with a decent mix of their country and rock songs. However, it doesn't flow as well as it could, which drags down the score a bit.
