Oh my god. Someone else who listens to Helms Alee :neckbeard: I found them because the singer/guitarist Ben Verellen runs Verellen Amplifiers, a company I plan on ordering a custom guitar amp through when I have the money to do so. Reminds me, need to check out the new album
:buddy: I found them through an article on punknews, They described it at tech-sludge of some sort and it sounded awesome Turned out to be something entirely different from what I expected, something even better.
[s]Pink Floyd[/s] Roger Waters - The Final Cut [release]"I only used the Pink Floyd name due to our contract really, that meant there was one less shitty album for the others to release" -Roger Waters[/release] :v:
:buddy: I found them through an article on punknews, They described it at tech-sludge of some sort and it sounded awesome Turned out to be something entirely different from what I expected, something even better.
Yeah, they're like stoner metal Smashing Pumpkins to my ears. Very impressed, the guitar tone on it is pretty amazing too :buddy:
Chimp Spanner - At the Dream's Edge 8.5/10
Massive Attack - Mezzanine I really don't listen to much EDM, so I wasn't sure what to expect from this. I was pleasantly surprised though, this is some sweet trip-hop. The song structures remind me of post-rock in the way they gradually build and evolve. It should work perfectly for background music as well as dedicated listening. With EDM I often feel it lacks variety(in an album or in a subgenre) but this album spans many feels and styles, while maintaining a good flow and a consistency throughout the album. I fell this will grow on me a lot, but for now it gets a 6.5/10
I give that album a 10/10 just for Elizabeth Fraser's performance on Teardrop. heaven. [editline]30th July 2011[/editline] the rest of the album could just be the group farting it's so good I says.
9/10 Big Boi's solo venture is so good.
I give that album a 10/10 just for Elizabeth Fraser's performance on Teardrop. heaven.
pretty much i don't even have to hear the rest of the album because of teardrop
As the Palaces Burn - Lamb of God 8/10 Got some good songs on it, but they're all somewhat samey I think. Not that being samey is bad, I like it but more variety would be cool too.

First you rate an album D- because "the studio trickery isn't so impressing" and now 10/10 because of one song? Piper at the Gates of Dawn - Pink Floyd 8/10 A great album for any classic rock/ psychedelic rock lover. Syd truly brings some good stuff to the table when he collaborates with Pink Floyd. Being Pink Floyd first album and one of the founding albums of psychedelic rock it doesn't really bring in as much attention as other albums by them. It's a powerful album filled with "trips" filled with creative use of instruments and interesting arrangements. Although some tracks fall flat compared to the massive psychedelic epics like "Interstellar Overdrive" unfortunately some of the songs feel unfinished in a way and have their weak spots. All in all a great album for any Floyd lover, a change of pace compared to their other albums.
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Slow Riot for New Zerø Kanada [img]http://www.securecrazydiamond.com/dizq/51816.jpg[/img] 10/10 I think this is GY!BE at it's best. It is beautiful, epic, emotional and booming but in 30 minutes and that is perfect. Godspeed is definitely a little long at times, but this is a perfect show from GY!BE.
Cross- Justice I've been listening to this album over 50 times since I got it, It's a non-stop flow of awesome going into your ears. My favorite track is "Waters Of Nazerth" 10/10

But this seems to be the most underrated GY!BE release that is overshadowed by their full albums.

9/10 "The Art Of Dying" is probably the best track on the album. All of the others are great too though.
