beautiful, insane, deluded, schizophrenic, haunting, melodic, possibly the most emotional albums I've ever had the luck to listen to. The singing, the ambiance, the piano, the drums, everything is beautifully haunting in a horribly good way. 10 happy-suicidal bricks/Nazis/mothers/teachers out of 10.
I've only heard songs of Pink Floyd, never an entire album. I've always meant to listen to DSotM at the right time but whenever I'm alone and bored I never remember.
10/10 One of my new all time albums, I was late on hearing it, and I heard all the hype. It was worth checking it out. It's like an indie-rock version of the Beatles if I may say

Probably about a 6/10 if I'm being generous. I'm a bit disappointed by shoegazing to be honest - there seems to be one central idea behind it and not much breakout from the guitar, which is really disappointing. Loveless by My Bloody Valentine was great, a definite hit for me and a 9/10. Really good album, probably the DSOTM of Shoegazing. Souvlaki by Slowdive was a great album too. This one, not so much.
9.64/10.00 This is one of those albums I've put away for a long time and only now I've actually listened to it and it blew me away. I guess I've had trouble getting into it because Newsom sounds like a retarded Lisa Simpson and the music sounds like some Disney shit but those are thoughts that will only come to mind if you listen to a thirty-second snippit of a song. If you have an open mind and listen to it attentively and all the way through you may find it to be a very complex and emotional album. Newsom's harp playing and sprawling lyrics really make Ys a fresh listen each time leaving me with one of those few albums I want to listen to again as soon as it's done.
P Meant to be the second best shoegazing album after Loveless,
nah that's Souvlaki. you've already listened to that so i

Slint - Spiderland There's a rumour that all the members of this band were institutionalized during the making of this album and it does sound plausible.
hey Pie, nice to see your on a binge of best albums of all time

[release] Sleep Dopesmoker 2003 Now this is some kickass stoner-metal. The first (and hopefully not the last) stoner-metal album I've heard and its pretty awesome. The whole album is pretty much just one hour long song. I really love the riffs and vocals in this. I'd really love it if somebody could recommend an album similar to this.[/release]
Mammút - Karkari 11/10 Masterpiece.
Swans - Soundtracks for the Blind I don't feel like I can properly rate it after 1 listen, I think it needs another to sink in, but at this point probably a B. This was my first time listening to Swans today, and while there's some great stuff in here, with The Sound definitely being the highlight, The Great Annihilator definitely made a stronger first impression on me, speaking of which... Swans - The Great Annihilator A- Felt more coherent and powerful than SftB. She Lives! is amazing and the vocals at the end of Mother/Father give some spectacular spine chills.
Justice - † This album seems to get plenty of attention here but I just listened to it for the first time. Great electro-house with really good atmosphere interrupted only by the overly stupid novelty vocals thrown into a few of the songs. Album would be immense without these tracks. Still quite a good album though. (8/10)
SebastiAn- Total 4.5/5 Pretty good tunes that kept me dancing all the time. SebastiAn truly is a great artist
Can't tell if either of these people are male or female [editline]10th August 2011[/editline] or it's the same person
it's the same guy. he cloned himself.
My optimistic was well rated then
Enochian Theory - Creatio Ex Nihilio B+ Nothing particularly unique, but still a solid album.
Welp, since my soundcard won't work I'm going through all my CDs I never listened to very much Had this forever, it's pretty good black metal actually Gonna rate it when I'm done
ZZ Top - Degüello - 1979 9/10 Uhh... It was good
