Built to Spill take a really contemplative approach to this album with these songs. They average about 6-7 minutes (long for the band) and are composed mostly of jams. If you like bands like Modest Mouse this band will be right of your alley. One could even mistake the singer of this band for Isaac Brock.

It was enjoyable for the first part, but then it started getting pretty repetitive and boring. Still I give it a marginally positive review because The first few songs are really good.

Not sure why people like that one so much, the vocals annoy the hell out of me, but without the vocals the song would be boring, probably even worse. Genesis is awesome though.

Proof that you can still sound sonically interesting with a recording budget of fourteen dollars. The production is very muddly but the band put layers of pianos and guitars to make it all sound very wonderful. The lyrics are simple, but they do go straight to the heart. I can see me still listening to this one in the future.

People seem to really like this album. I'm not sure if it's cause they actually like the songs or because of
the production. I don't think most of the songs are good, some are but the rest just are impressive to neat
soundscapes with some not so good vocals. I really like the first three songs and some songs near the end,
but the rest are songs I couldn't see meor anyone else listening to other than when they're bored and just
wanna put something kind of freaky on. But holy shit, the sounds in the album, where the fuck do they come
from!? Not to be cliche but I literally can not think of where you can find some of these samples on earth.
THEY'RE OUT OF THIS WORLD! Give it a listen just for the crazy ass production, don't expect much else though.
This is one of those albums where the cover art fits the music perfectly.
By the way, skipping through tracks to find specific parts of the song makes this sound so fucking weird.

Solid, and still distinctly above the great majority of mainstream metalcore as I would expect of Trivium, but it's not up to the standard of their older stuff. While most of the songs are pretty decent, they all start to sound alike after a while and the album just gets a bit boring. The title track is excellent though.

Wow, this was the first space rock album I've listened to, The title track [i]Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space[/i]. Is one of the best examples of overlapping vocals done right.
The songs seem a bit scattered sound-wise, with the slow, rolling, almost orchestral opening track going straight into a rock-punk sound in the next song. But that does add to the uniqueness of each song compared to the rest of the album.
I think I'm going to try out some of their other albums, and I've got a copy of [i]Space Ritual Sundown II[/i] sitting next to me because of this album.
