I love it. Almost every song is a fucking favorite. Voltaire's best album, In my opinion.
Sigur Rós - () A I don't know how it took me this long to get around to listening to this, but I'm glad I did, because this is the most beautiful album I've heard in a long time. The distinct vocals work beautifully, and the whole thing flows in a way that gives it a very elegant, ambient feeling.
RHCP- Stadium Arcadium Its good but I think it could be better. My favourite song "Especially in Michigan" 7/10 Public Enemy-It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back According to rolling stone magazine it is the best rap album. I like it classic Hip Hop, not booty, guns or money Look at this sampling on ONE SONG. They also seem to sample themselves a lot of times Sometimes the songs sound disjointed though. Best song- Terminator X to the Edge of Panic 8/10
Battles - Gloss Drop 9.4/10 The instrumentals are just as fantastic as their previous work, and the guest vocalists just made them better
Wavves - Wavvves 8/10 Some sweet tracks, some tracks I don't know what's going on. It's super loud, so if my iPod is on shuffle, my earlobes get molested. I really like Wavves though, so this gets an 8/10 (also, this is the best Wavves album IMO).
Home by Visions 8/10 Enjoyable if you aren't too fussy and don't hate -core music. Some nice riffs going on
In the Pines, a self titled album: 8/10, it's like if ambient and post rock met folk songwriting and instrumentation. Interesting, in that it essentially entertains me the same way post rock does without many of the methodologies and techniques used in the current wave of post rock. A nice break because it doesn't sound so spacey.

Loveless - My Bloody Valentine Was good
[release] Omar Rodriguez Lopez Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fungus /5 ORL is a pretty amazing musician and very very skilled at the guitar, but sometimes his charm doesn't go as far as it does other times. Absence Makes The Heart Grow Fungus, which is actually part 2 to his previous album A Manual Dexterity, is full of his normal instrumental exciting pieces but there's a lot of atmosphere in this one. It seems angrier than his other work and sometimes that really makes this shine. However, the majority of this album is almost %100 forgettable with the exception of the track Mood Swings which I found to be a perfectly length summary of this album which is angry and unsettling progressive instrumental rock. This album suits the nature of a playlist more than I think an entire album; you can take any song on here and add it to a chill to excited instrumental playlist and it'd blend right in. [/release] [editline]15th August 2011[/editline] And I'm irritated that Last.fm scrobbles him as Omar A. Rodriguez-Lopez
too lazy to find pictures but had a very musical day: Tom Waits - Rain Dogs 100000/10 Bob Dylan - Blood on the Tracks 8/10 Bob Dylan - Desire 8/10 Joni Mitchell - Hissing of the Summer Lawns 7/10
6/10 I just didn't like it that much. Some songs I loved, but most of it I did not even enjoy.

Listened to Animal Collective for the first time a while ago. Wasn't super impressed
Boards of Canada - Geogaddi Honestly, this is one of my favourite albums. This is one of the best ambient idm albums ever made. Everything about Geogaddi is both calming yet slightly unnerving, I'd say that the overall tone is soberly relaxing. A large amount of people talk about how Geogaddi makes them feel spooked or uneasy, but it does nothing but calm me down whilst also giving me a backdrop for nightly activities. It is one of my most-played albums of all time, and I do not forsee it losing any momentum in my listening agenda. About 2-3 times a week I listen to Geogaddi in whole. Tonight, I have listened to it 3 times in a row and am now on my 4th play. Just give it a chance, you will be taken to another dimension. 10/10
it was this album btw Merriweather Post Pavilion So mesmerizing...

yeah I listened to it and nothing really got my attention, I'll listen to it one more time
It took me a while to get into animal collective, but now I really like that album. Worth it to give it another try
I will give it another try, but I'm not going to listen to it six times to try to enjoy it
En-Gauge, listen to Geogaddi. I think you'd love it.
will do
first track of MPP is so exciting and dynamic, it's really disappointing that the rest of the song are repetitive pop without the drama that first track has

[release]Magical Mystery Tour by The Beatles Rating: 4.5/10 At this point, you're probably saying, "Okay... This guy's a fucking asshole." I can only just give you my word and say I'm not and hope that my rating after reading this review will make a lot more sense. I dove into this comp album thinking, "Wow! Some of the best music is just about to unravel and travel into my ears." I was disappointed to say the least. Most of the album came out as "flat" sounding. The vocals on this album (especially John Lennon) come off as a mere effect then actual vocals. The easy accessibility and easy listening factor credits it's high sales and reception. There is a downside to all of that, most of these tracks get very boring and dull, FAST. That doesn't mean it's somewhat fun to listen to... for a while. Magical Mystery Tour: The first minute of this song is maybe one of the best parts of this album. The first minute is great, after that it starts to calm down. Yes Paul, we heard you say "magical mystery tour" already. The trumpet fits quite nicely in this song and so is the other instruments on this track, but the vocals are less than mediocre. 3/5 Fool On the Hill : Probably my least favorite track on this album. Like MMT it is accompanied by mediocre vocals. Not much going on in this track except for the piano, flute, and vocals. It is very boring. 1.5/5 Blue Jay Way: At this point of the album I wondered if they were going to do something else besides a mediocre folk song. I was wrong, the vocals are somewhat of more of an ambient effect for all the other instruments. The vocals sound very nasally and the best analogy I can give is if someone was strangling a nerd while he was yawning. If only this song was instrumental. 2/5 The rest of the tracks pretty much sound the same poppy folk, nasally/just bad in general vocals, somewhat of decent instrument playing, and an overall unatmospheric feel. I cannot see where this album almost always gets a very highly positive reception from reviewers. [/release]

i actually like strawberry jam a lot more than post-weather merripavilion
I try to like this album because it's hip, but it does nothing for me.
I feel the same way [editline]17th August 2011[/editline] I find myself, really, really, really wanting to like it but I'm kind of forcing myself to Also I'll listen to that other shoegaze album I was recommended a couple pages ago now, and Geogaddi as per suggested by Artemis [editline]17th August 2011[/editline] anyone got any great shoegaze albums I should hear
I try to like this album because it's hip, but it does nothing for me.
One of the songs on that album is one of my favorite songs of all time (No More Runnin') but the others, they do nothing for me.
