BMWs look more classy than most European cars to me, and the performance of specific ones are far from disappointing.

Because they are fun to drive, even the larger models like my 740i (e38). And I suppose everyone has their own taste when it comes to looks, I certainly don't think my bimmer looks generic. Hell, I prefer to drive my 7 over my dad's Porsche 911.

Wrong, they are not heavy as fuck since you can take sharp corners at 50mph, and the X, M, 3, 5, 6 and 7 series BMW's all look different from each other.

Cars from the 50's 60's and 70's have around 85% more thought put into them. If you ask me the car manufacturers are packing there creative spark to create new designes, there more focused on newer tech, upgrades, and " revolutionizing" there cars to be better. The car industrys creativity and new designes ended in around 1984 with the dodge rampage as the last well designed car.

Yes they are heavy as fuck, and I'd like to see them even try to keep up with a lighter car, the 5 and 3 series is made up of family sedans and "sporty" coupes, they're not amazing handling sports cars.
Your logic behind weight=handling is flawed as well, a fucking GTR weighs about as much as a large truck truck and handles like a beast.

No, Different headlight, taillight configurations, which means the front and rear ends look different, different rims between the 3 and 5 series and one is smaller than the other, which means different chassis. 3 series also has a different engine.

They aren't heavy as fuck compared to older cars like the Caprice and Impala SS, that is what I meant.
They handle well, I didn't say they were the best, better though than most Imported and domestic sedans.
