I'm old enough to get a licence now, except I live in London. I'm currently a five minute walk from my 6th form college and my commute next year will take me across central London and the congestion zone.
My dad reckons I should learn how to drive purely because it's a handy skill to have and that the sooner you get it the better. I think he's also pretty keen to get a new car to tinker with (he's going through a bit of a [url=http://img714.imageshack.us/img714/5674/aarm20baja.jpg]Baja Beetle[/url] phase at the moment. I'm pretty sure I don't want to learn to drive in one of them). Mum is not so sure about it and is worried about expenses and such things. It basically boils down to whether I say I want to learn or not. I'm not worried at the moment. Considering I'll have no real use for it for at least the next year, not to mention a huge summer holiday the following year(May 2011 - October 2011) which would be the perfect time to learn.
So, what do you guys think? Also, what car do you think I'll end up in if I do decide to learn? Probably a Fiat Panda.
