I just played FM3 for the first time in a long time today. Good news: I have all the car packs except the VIP Car Pack. Bad news: my XBL Gold just expired. Damn MS and their profit-generating techniques...

Yeah, 50 bucks per year. What a rip-off.
Will probably be getting a car over the summer. What are some relatively reliable and sporty cars under 11k? (basically 0-60 under 7 seconds) Preferably automatic, I would be doing a lot of city driving.
things that come to mind
accord v6 coupe
mazda 6 v6
hyundai tiburon gt v6
Get used. And who's to say you have to spend all of the money? Buy an old RX7 and keep the rest of the money.

Better/cheaper cars out there.
Better/cheaper cars out there.
enlighten me, the previous suggestion wasn't too helpful. I need something reliable AND sporty.
enlighten me, the previous suggestion wasn't too helpful. I need something reliable AND sporty.
Let me be honest with you.
You CAN'T get all 3 things.
Sporty.
Reliable.
Cheap.
Choose 2.
any vtec honda is reliable, can be found cheap and is atleast more sporty than a buick century

I realize that, but there are a few viable options out there like v6 accord coupe

You have a thing for V6's do you? Sorry to say but all three of them suck, that hundai puts out like 160hp or something.
Go for a 4 banger, a good V6 would be something like a 350z or the new mustangs.
The Mazda 6 v6 sucks?
Oh lawd.

Nope not that one, the other two are complete shitboxes and I don't know why he even mentioned them.

compared to what he could buy.
compared to what he could buy.
Theoretically, anything's shit compared to what you could buy. The V6 Mazda 6 is pretty damn luxurious.

i wouldn't know i don't know anything about it but are you sure you didn't just misinterpret him?
uh
Yeah I made a mistake, posted without thinking.

I could care less about luxury, it has a great engine, lots of power and very torquey.
Yeah I made a mistake on the tiburon, I read it's stats wrong but the v6 accord coupe and mazda 6 v6 still seem good. Both are reliable, handle decent and do 0-60 in under 7 seconds.

The accord is useless, it's a mom car.
I'd get an RSX over it, looks tons better, lighter, handles better, just as fast I'm sure. Produces the same amount of power on a 2l 4banger.

Accords can get really annoying since there's an issue where it cuts off while driving
And it takes like 20 minutes to turn it back on

rsx is slow as bawls. The RSX-S is marginally faster than the accord, but I don't know if I want a stickshift because I'm going to be doing a lot of city driving

Then get the Mazda6 or look up the GTI, awesome dual-clutch tranny and good power.
One thing about the cars thread, if someone says mustang they mean the GT, if someone says RSX they mean the S. :v:

I'll prolly get a mazda6 then, gti's are sloooow with auto

This isn't a minivan transmission, they are just as quick as the manuals.

Also, Mazdas have auto-stick, so you can manually shift as well.
Also, Mazdas have auto-stick, so you can manually shift as well.
The ability to shift isn't what makes it as quick as manual, the power lost in the torque converter is still there, it's just as slow as any other auto.

must be talking about the 06' and up, because the affordable ones (1.8t) are a full second slower with an automatic
