whats facepunch's thoughts on the Lexus IS300? Although I am looking at many "economy" cars the IS300 is something I'm heavily considering. It's sexy, reliable, smooth, nimble, and RWD. But I don't like the idea of buying a ten or eight year old luxury car even if it is reliable. The gas mileage sucks and I wouldn't expect that car too have much resale value 5 years from now.
sexy interior

It seems nice but it seems like all the ones I see have ricer taillights installed. For once I'd like to see one without them. What started the whole "clear taillights" thing anyway?

Those "ricer taillights" are stock.
I'm totally obsessed with Trueno AE86s
I need to find an AE101/100 engine so people won't be like
HERP DERP RICER just because I painted my hood black and added a black HKS sticker on the driver's door

It's only good if you swap in a 2JZ-GTE and single turbo it.
Also all the negatives are of no relevance when buying a sports car. Those points are required for it to be a sports car.

personally its quick enough for me stock, it's the handing, looks, and reliability that draw me. But still 22mpg... fucking horrid for such a small 210hp car.
My 1988 Trans Am GTA I took yesterday at Lake Mead here in Nevada.

Thats why you get more power and it doesn't have to work as hard. I've seen 20mpg stock evo's go to like 30mpg with 400whp as long as you stay out of boost.
you sayin' you have an 86?

Yep
