Never really played Doom for the multiplayer. Loadouts put me off a bit, but it still looks fun. The singleplayer at least looks good and not a glorified Brutal Doom like I thought it would be.
Also got tomorrow off woo. It's normal to not feel the right side of your toe, right? :v:
I'll never stop hating the two-weapon loadout system Halo began and every shooter in existence copied. Give me a shitload of guns so I can mix my strategies and pick the perfect gun for every fight, dammit. The Half-Life games are so good at gun variety, I wish more games copied them.

He was pretty cute. But he was 18, which is like 5 years younger than me.

I was playing the Doom beta today and I thought holding shift made you faster because I was too excited to notice it didn't change my speed at all.
Turns out it enables your mic so I was running around like an idiot commentating on everything I was doing to everyone on the server.

What I find annoying about Doom's keymapping is that you can't replace the default key, but instead, it just adds an alternative button for you to press.
I mapped my crouch to left ctrl and my voice to V but the original ones stayed there.
What if I have to crouch and I'm in the middle of one gross-ass belch and accidentally hit the shift button. Now everyone will get to partake in the sound emitted from my oral passage.
Enjoying the game though, even with how limited the content is at the moment.

Shit like this is wrong. You never, EVER hardwire controls in your game. Always allow players to remap [I]everything.[/I] If you have to rewrite your whole control input handler because some moron at the beginning of development did't make it right, so be it.
Exactly. One of the best features of PC gaming is the fact that you can tailor just about anything to have it fit your style of gameplay.
This sort of keymap hardwiring is going to make quite a lot of people cross, especially the ones who have more eccentric layouts they might've picked up from the old PC FPS gaming days(like having Mouse2 be jump).

I'm from the far north side of town too, and it was way worse up there. Nobody seems to really hate gays though, it's not a vocal thing there (at least from my experience)
