I was supposed to move to Seattle last week to live with a friend and land a better job and location than here in Minnesota with my family and immediately after flying there: roadtrip with friends down to Nevada for a convention that started yesterday. (My family here was going to move to a home 30 minutes away in March, so I quit my job in February to prepare. then the date got pushed to May.. and now i'm learning its pushed to June. I haven't been able to have a job for months because I'm always expecting to move in the next couple weeks.)
I had in total 300$. 200 of which would have gone towards moving and the convention with the rest being dispensable. All of this cash was the last bits of my tax return. Instead I decided I was too afraid of running out of cash too quickly and the sudden flux of possible responsibilities that would rush my way after moving out with others on my own for the first time without a ton of family holding my hand.
Now i'm instantly regretting it because suddenly I realized that I've once again walked past something that was bigger and more important to me than what I first foreseen, I was only looking at the negatives and not the stories and positive times to be had and made for myself.
I'm broke now and have to plan months ahead [I]again [/I]agonizingly when for the past year I was hoping and planning things would have changed by exactly right now. This isn't the first time either when I've bailed out on lifechanging decisions to try to improve the quality of my life.

This. All the gays in my area can't seem to see past anything more than a one night stand. And many will sacrifice so much, including friendships for that one night stand.
