They were all just so :wow:
I'm too needy and get attached too fast. I fucking hate this shit
I'm too needy and get attached too fast. I fucking hate this shit
I'm the same. I just have to keep a very close, careful eye on my behavior and adjust when necessary. It's tiring, and when I make mistakes it shows, but I've gotten good at it.
how has everyone been in here
Helping my parents look for houses is getting pretty tiring. More times now than I'm willing to admit, I've found one on the market that's in good shape, has a good location, and has most everything we need... and then it has an in-ground pool. Houses that don't have one find some major way to not fit our needs. It's clear at this point that we're going to have to make a compromise or two, but will it have to be that one? Only time will tell, I guess
What's wrong with having a pool?
Only one person of the three that'll be moving in know how to swim (and it's not me), so the cost of maintenance just isn't worth it
So it does have a pool, that's a bad thing, but houses that don't have pools don't fit your needs? What?
Tongue in cheek. With or without a pool, most houses sell quickly, and the remainders tend to be the less desirable ones (poorly maintained, outdated styling, forced hot air heating, close proximity to a busy road, has a pool, etc.)
I'm like small skinny and mostly hairless and kinda girlish I guess but I don't think I have a very "gay" voice u know Is there a scientific reason why so many gays have that certain "gay" voice inflection?

So i played Overwatch last night, some people are so rude to healers. Me, playing as Mercy, healing everybody up and then theres this one twat that says hes not getting any healing, and i'm there non-stop healing him and hes just standing in the middle of the fucking courtyard absorbing every fucking bullet the enemy is firing.
Play Lućio. Then you only need to be close to your needy teammates for them to get healed. Or Zenyatta so you can shove your balls in their face from a distance.

He's a tank eater though and can fuck up anyone's day if puts his orb of discord on them. I love Zenyatta's balls.
Jumping straight into full-time work from working max like 12 hours a week is weird af Especially since I'm temporarily working for electrical at my uni for the summer instead of IT. Today I helped a dude fix two elevators.
I have done quite well doing something similar. I didn't even resort to coffee. But this week when my leave application got rejected I very nearly burst in to tears on the spot. I need a rest !! [editline]25th May 2016[/editline]
hello~ [editline]24th May 2016[/editline] jk i'm not really THAT girlish
own it, girlfriend [editline]25th May 2016[/editline]
If I had to guess it's probably 90% cultural.
It's interesting because afaik this isn't some new fad, so how can we say that effiminate voiced men come about because that's the culture? I know a straight guy who talks like a flamboyant queer. I know gay men who talk deep and "manly" I think it's more that gay men who have that voice naturally are more noticed, and factoring in the idea that in reality fags are so much more prolific than surveys, research can account for, these are the people who just lucked out and have these traits. It's not a learned thing imo. There is a genetic predisposition. For the record, I am "straight" acting (and boy do I loathe self describing that way). I am more attracted to gay men who "sound" and "act" gay because I don't go for straight guys. Straight men make me physically uncomfortable sometimes. [editline]25th May 2016[/editline] But regardless, whether it is a learned trait or not, excessive flamboyance is no better than the more tolerated excessive breederness. Breeders get away with all kinds of insane crap so to be turned off by or annoyed by genuine, proud faggots, is pathetic and tbh you should think better of yourselves than to do that (addressed to all the people who were indicating otherwise).
Only one person of the three that'll be moving in know how to swim (and it's not me), so the cost of maintenance just isn't worth it
I know some people have good reasons for it (e.g. medical, circumstantial), and I don't want to start a blanket attack, but it amazes me when I hear that someone hasn't learned how to swim. Swimming is probably one of the most important skills you can learn when you're a child. It just seems like a lot of unnecessary risk not knowing how to swim. I feel like every elementary/primary school should have pool safety and swimming programs for kids.
We had a bunch of swim peactices during PE. We also had absolutely toxic bullies who would berate and even hamper people who had trouble learning how to swim. And the school I was in had some shitty ethics when it came to bullying, believing that children should learn to defend themselves rather than having teachers to intervene. Never learned to swim because I was too busy being an easy bullying target. And now I go by the dumb belief of "oh, I don't go near bodies of water, I don't really need to learn how to swim.

We're an island nation, it is totally unsurprising that swimming comes as a standard expectation. In many other countries though, this is not a serious issue.

A friend hits their head at a pool party and you can't go in to save them; your vehicle crashes through the side of a bridge and falls into a river; unpredictable flooding. Sure it's not guaranteed to save someone's life, but it gives a person more of a chance.

Not many countries actually have typical backyard swimming pools or actual bridges. I know it seems typical standard safety in Australia but honestly it isn't important for a significant number countries. It makes sense to learn, but Australia is one of the few countries that actually cares...
As a competitive swimmer of 13 years and a swim coach and instructor for the past 3 it pains me when people don't know how to/don't want to learn how to swim. Its one of the best life skills you can learn and youre really missing out by not knowing how to.
i don't get what's so hard about swimming you just jump in the water and you float without effort
i don't get what's so hard about swimming you just jump in the water and you float without effort
yeah, everyone who's ever drowned is just stupid or something
you drown in oceans and rivers with strong currents and waves, not a pool of calm water you're scared and panic and make all sorts of movements that only make you sink, that's how you drown
you drown in oceans and rivers with strong currents and waves, not a pool of calm water you're scared and panic and make all sorts of movements that only make you sink, that's how you drown
I thought not every body type inherently floats?
i don't get what's so hard about swimming you just jump in the water and you float without effort
I had the same thought when I was a kid and almost drowned.
