Skinny doesn't work for everyone, absolutely. But yeah, fitted always looks better. They're comfy too. And not any more expensive than others.
Same with shirts. Shirts that fit are the way to go, shirts that don't fit are ehhhh

Last night I wrote my own parser to convert the FITS image format NASA uses for some of their raw telescope data into stuff I can analyze and graph in MATLAB. And my scale generator thing is coming along too :D

These are the best though, they're so comfy! A bit chilly though or at least my pair is. The tech stretch stuff from H&M doesn't hold much heat.
Oh, and these are real skinny jeans. Slim fit is considerably looser. After wearing slimmer and skinnier jeans all the time, I can wear loose jeans anymore. They feel weird, sorta gross, and way less comfy.

Many people here have said you look fine. Clothes aren't like an absolute modifier on attractiveness and I wouldn't say they ever take away- they just add more. So you'd look even more fiiiine with jeans like that, especially if you enjoyed wearin them cus then that boosts your confidence and everyone likes that (and who doesn't like feeling like they look good).
