If you want, give me a pester. I'm toastedRoyalty (due to my account on the site there.)

But transportifying something is legitimate and we should all do it! :buddy:
Also I'm backwardsEspionage if Pesterchum ever decides to connect (Bad internet)
I'm probably a bit late but my chumhandle is nounAdjective.
I think the concept that keeps nagging me is that when a dreamself dies, they splinter off into a separate entity and become another person in the afterlife. When a person dies and is kissed by a prince or princess (any player), their dreamself takes over as their main body. But does this mean that the dreamself had just traded his dream powers for the memory and personality of their player, or does the original person actually have their consciousness shuttled into their secondary body? Hussie had said that John did die, but does this mean that John is now actually dead and the guy walking around as the Heir Transparent is his dreamself that thinks that he's John, or is that actually John?
I would have thought that the situation is the latter, because Sollux and Vriska appear to have the memory of their previous lives before they died, and Vriska has expressed satisfaction at her own death, but Jadesprite freaking out causes me to question what I thought. Jadesprite is clearly a separate version of Jade that died and was resurrected against her will, instead of being Becquerel in Jade's body, which would signify that the dreamself doesn't have its own personality and is merely another body used by a player.
It's probably done this way to install suspicion and initiate arguments and conversation, but the fact that Hussie hasn't really specified what happens to dreamselves when they die causes me to grow doubt that the Heir Transparent is really the John that was fooling around with his Fetch Modi on his birthday. He either is, and the story points towards this as most likely, or else John, Sollux, and Vriska are dead and clones of them have assumed their roles in Sburb.

Prototyping a dead main body would prove which theory is right, but all sprites shown are already dead or have been prototyped twice, so this won't answer it.

Could you prototype a 3rd time?
Could you prototype a 3rd time? or is there a restriction?
You can only prototype twice, iirc.

I think when they take over the main body or ascend they get memories back, since those seem to be ways Sburb intended. Jadesprite might not be a way that Sburb intended to bring people back, and thus it didn't give her Jade's memories.
A dreamself is pretty much another body, but in case of Weird Plot Shit it can gain a separate existance, as in Jade's case.
Problem solved.

So If I'm reading this right you're saying that when a person ascends or is permanently awoken the dreamself takes the memories of their deceased player and assumes the role of that player, while the original wanders the afterlife, never to interact with the living again unless resurrected through another means?

But the point was that if a dreamself is in fact just another body that a player controls, like a puppet, shouldn't it be comatose upon returning to life and if prototyped with another living being shouldn't the other personality take command of the body instead of the body having its own experiences and personality? If it was truly the case then Bec might have flipped out that he's suddenly a human female, but it was Jade that flipped out that she was now Bec, which means that the puppet body had a distinct consciousness that was separate from Jade's. If consciousnesses are tied to bodies, then a main body's death would result in them leaving the world of the living, unless ascension was a very different process from typical backup resurrection.
Someone ask Andrew about this so that we can get more cryptic dodgery from him that will only serve to put us into a deeper sense of confusion

Why? Vague instructions?
I'm pixelPlacerist on pesterchum btw.
Ok, I think I finally have pesterchum up and running. Previously it would always reject my screenname but now it's working. I'm under the name acidicVengeance. Just so everyone is clear, I'm -TDBiz- Aimless Renegade on steam right now.
Also, I felt the need to post this for prosperity, from the FPMSPA steam chatroom:

Back! Windows is reinstalled, as well with my programs!
Back on topic: I sense an [S] Today or Tomorrow.
I find it extremely unnerving to think that a clone of the protagonist is now the protagonist, while the one we were following is now regulated to a side character that can never again see his friends as he knows them. I wonder what John would think if he really was dead and could watch as his dreamself is treated as him, knowing that he trusted a troll again and got killed again for doing so.

I hope that Hussie reveals somehow that John's consciousness was actually transferred, else this is going to seem unsettling for the rest of the comic's duration.

I think John's dreamself woke up for a second time when John reached the God tiers. This time he woke up as John. Its like how dream Jade could talk to people from Prospit and still understand whats going on. You're dreamself is a mirror reflection of yourself.
Hussie why would you do this!
Jade x Jadesprite = canon
HOLY FUCK ANDREW DID IT :froggonk:
Jade x Jadesprite = canon
It's not canon it's just Kartkat being a pervert.
