i did and now i'm here because if enough people whine at andrew to bring back the suggestion box he'll do it
Nah, Andrew has effectively shown on his formspring that he's self-confident enough to keep his choices. If I remember him stating correctly, he loathes the suggestion box at that point(Ideas overload on his part), he explains why he did this in his Formspring.
I stopped reading around when the trolls became the centerpiece of the story. It got incredibly boring and I stopped reading it.
At first I did the same thing, but I had to reread Act 5 Act 1 to understand why some of the trolls do the shit they do to the kids later, because the weird time shit confuses me too much already to let plot details go unchecked.

I just hate seeing huge chat logs every three pages. I hate reading chat logs so much.
[img_thumb]http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/8008/sadnazi.gif[/img_thumb]
I see you're taking this well.
I just hate seeing huge chat logs every three pages. I hate reading chat logs so much.
dat sux. i guess you can get by without reading the chat logs but you'll understand even less imo its better than big fucking speech bubbles eating the screen
dat sux. i guess you can get by without reading the chat logs but you'll understand even less imo its better than big fucking speech bubbles eating the screen
I've tried not reading them, then figured out the hard way that they actually had some vital information in them and had to spend several hours looking them back up and reading them. :smith:
Always wondered where the avatars and shit came from.
I just hate seeing huge chat logs every three pages. I hate reading chat logs so much.
But that's half of the humor, the pre-medium Dave-Rose pesterlogs were hilarious.
I've tried not reading them, then figured out the hard way that they actually had some vital information in them and had to spend several hours looking them back up and reading them. :smith:
yeah i kinda did the same thing when homestuck first started
dat sux. i guess you can get by without reading the chat logs but you'll understand even less imo its better than big fucking speech bubbles eating the screen
Except that the chat logs are like 99% of the story. Don't skip the chat logs. At least try to read them; skim them if necessary. My first read-through i sorta skipped through the chat logs, and I was hopelessly lost.
*melodramatic nazi what*
:smithicide: works just as well and isn't 3.5 MB
But that's half of the humor, the pre-medium Dave-Rose pesterlogs were hilarious.
All two of them. The rest of the chat logs were mostly karkat yelling at himself and a bunch of dumb filler.
So what is this. Some epic Stuff?
So what is this. Some epic Stuff?
do you like interspecies romance, walls of text that don't do anything for the story, and an artist so bad he has to get other people to draw shit for him? if so, you have bad taste (User was banned for this post ("Threadshitting" - Dragon))
So what is this. Some epic Stuff?
It's nice enough if you can get past what DimJim said. The music and flash segments are well worth the read.
I just hate seeing huge chat logs every three pages. I hate reading chat logs so much.
Maybe homestuck isn't for you then. Text logs are where half the comic is.
I just hate seeing huge chat logs every three pages. I hate reading chat logs so much.
That's kind of the whole experiment behind homestuck, there is no spoken dialogue between characters Why would anyone skip the chatlogs anyway then none of the characters say anything
That's kind of the whole experiment behind homestuck, there is no spoken dialogue between characters
i liked that then ALTERNIABOUND came out and had them talking you can't deny that because their mouths were moving
Maybe homestuck isn't for you then. Text logs are where half the comic is.
I've read this far, no sense in turning back. I just try to get past the chat logs as fast as I can to get back into the action.
MSPA v3 - Invasion of the Haters
I've read this far, no sense in turning back. I just try to get past the chat logs as fast as I can to get back into the action.
What action? The chatlogs are the exposition. Otherwise you're just looking at a picture book which is kind of silly if you ask me
I enjoy Homestuck. It is a good comic to read for entertainment and story
What action? The chatlogs are the exposition. Otherwise you're just looking at a picture book which is kind of silly if you ask me
Yes but it is a very pretty picture book And that's enough for me.
What action? The chatlogs are the exposition. Otherwise you're just looking at a picture book which is kind of silly if you ask me
It worked fine for Problem sleuth Although this is a completely different story, and is now serious.
do you like interspecies romance, walls of text that don't do anything for the story, and an artist so bad he has to get other people to draw shit for him? if so, you have bad taste (User was banned for this post ("Threadshitting" - Dragon))
Thank you Dragon.
Yes but it is a very pretty picture book And that's enough for me.
You could read Problem Sleuth if you like a picture book.
You could read Problem Sleuth if you like a picture book.
I've already read through Problem Sleuth. I'm not saying I don't enjoy Homestuck, I just like looking at a picture more than a wall of text is all.
So what would you say this is, better on the story side or is it better for crazy wicked fights? Kind of like Dragon Ball Z.
I hope the Green Sun only has one instance of its existence, instead of there being one per universe. It would be interesting to see the kids' session become unique to all other sessions by interacting with this star and doing whatever their plan is.
