No, but the main foreground in the book is the drama created between the characters over the visitation zone, with the deeper social, scientific, and philosophical implications and discussions mixed in between.

Okay, let me clarify. I want focus on proper world building, interesting details, stories, not just people relationships with stalker-y background thrown in

Yeah that's fine, me too. Considering that the original is just a short story I'd expect a little more than that from TV series.
At the same time I don't want them throwing in too much of their own shit, for some reason I'm sceptical of their writers' abilities. For one, I don't really like the psychic Monkey thing.
I really hope that the bar at the beginning of the trailer was the Borscht bar, otherwise they are doing it wrong.
what mods should i download for this show
what mods should i download for this show
The "Picnic Reclamation Project" to fix some of the bugs in the show.
Roadside Misery for added realism.
Roadside Misery for added artificial difficulty.
Fixed your typo.
Plebs, everybody knows that Picnic Complete 2017 is the only proper way to experience Roadside Picnic.
i keep thinking this is S.T.A.L.K.E.R in America with all this Zone talk
Pretty sure STALKER was based (at least somewhat) on Roadside Picnic.
It better have some Cheeki Breeki
It better have some Cheeki Breeki
all the generic bad guys should be trench and ski mask-wearing russian bandits
This really looks so mediocre and low quality

Well stalker took roadside picnic and mixed it with the chernobyl incident so it's not rocket science to see why :v:
I was really kinda hoping that it'd be a bit more gritty and depressing than the trailer shows, but i guess i've got the stalker movie for that.
