And the entire ending of DBZ for that matter.
Honestly i'd like it if they redid GT, even though it was generally a mess of poor ideas, it had some real highlights i'd like to see in something well made and cannon.
In the dragon ball online story, they ended the series with Goku and Vegeta causing a supernova at the end of their lives. I wonder if that is canon.

Of course, the anime probably will make them tie into GT at some point, but really I don't see these movies showing that off.
Considering what the movies done have basically shat all over anything possible by GT, it's generally agreed (and thought to be true due to Xenoverse) that GT and Xenoverse / Online are two different timelines, with the latter led to eventually by the movies presumably unless XV/DBO are a third timeline. It's not really that out there, either, considering Future Trunks has his own timeline independent from what he does in the past and main canon.
DBO and Xenoverse are in Future Trunks' timeline. In the base DBZ 'canon' there are 4 Timelines, tho one of them we don't really know anything about http://dragonball.wikia.com/wiki/Dragon_Ball_alternate_timelines There is Future Trunks' timeline, Cell's timeline, the Main DBZ Timeline, and a 4th which is not seen. It is probably the same as the main timeline, it is where the Trunks in Cell's timeline went. And, as you said, Xenoverse says GT is a separate timeline from all of them.
And if that leak is true [sp]there is a time line with Frieza destroying Earth, probably going to Namek to become immortal and everyone being fucked in that time line[/sp]

I think he intended for the movies to tie into both the anime canon (which includes GT) and the manga canon (which includes dragonball online).
How on earth would GT fit in the canon? Hell from the Revival of F manga is completely different than how it was in DBGT, besides the fact in the latter that Frieza kept coming back even though it was stated that once you are killed in a dead body you can never come back. There is several contradictions, like Frieza and Cell supposedly trained and kept their bodies in Hell in DBGT. Frieza [sp]is stuck in his mecha form, trains four months and gets stronger than Goku[/sp]
I wouldn't mind a redo of GT including all of the lore and forms and such.
But would super saiyan 4 be stronger than Sayian God?
I wouldn't mind a redo of GT including all of the lore and forms and such.
I mean the one plot thread left hanging in DBZ was the final villian of GT. Basically old kai after training Gohan to Ultimate said something along the lines of "Don't use the Dragon Balls so much, bad stuff will happen". In GT that meant a bunch of somewhat arbitrarily powerful bad guys who goku pretty much wipes the floor with. If there is going to be another film having Gohan go back to Old Kai to learn more about this, shit his pants and then power back up again in the Hyperbolic time chamber would be sweet, Gohan and Piccolo need some love man. Wait also where the fuck is Uub in any of the last 3 movies???
Someone was getting really really fucking pissed that Frieza had a new form. He pointed out that Frieza's 1st, 2nd, and 3rd form are just Frieza masking his actual power, so that his final form is his 'true' natural form that he was born with. I get that, it's totally true too. But is it really that ridiculous and hard to grasp that Frieza attained a form BEYOND his natural state?
I wouldn't mind a redo of GT including all of the lore and forms and such.
I wouldn't mind that as well, just as long as episodes aren't removed from the English dub again.

This is a world where fucking everything transforms. To be honest, I'm pretty surprised we haven't had a regular human to suddenly start sprouting green hair by screaming a lot.

It being golden is still dumb, though, white and purple looks way better on it.
Cooler already had a form beyond his natural one, so it's really not anything new at least. It being golden is still dumb, though, white and purple looks way better on it.
I wish they would've kept it more like Cooler's with the armored face mask and everything.
Cooler already had a form beyond his natural one, so it's really not anything new at least. It being golden is still dumb, though, white and purple looks way better on it.
It's pretty obvious the gold was supposed to be a reference to the normal Super Saiyan colors, for irony's sake, but what gets me is the things that have been said a million times already; four months of training for a space tyrant prodigy apparently means going gold and becoming stronger than entities that were feared to be able to destroy the universe given the opportunity. [sp]Sure, the form has major stamina issues just like certain usages of Super Saiyan, like SSJ3,[/sp] but it's still one of many things about this movie that reek of improvised writing just to make a story.

I personally believe the true DBZ ending should have been Goku and Vegeta fighting in the finals at the tournament and that's what I'll pretend it is for now.

Like for instance in the anime canon frieza, cell, king cold, and some of their goons kept their bodies. Gt also takes place like twenty years after the death of buu, meanwhile the new movies only take place like five years afterward, and uub doesn't show up until about ten years after the buu saga. Theres quite the time gap, leaving a lot of space for inconsistencies to be cleared up.
It honestly looks like a really well-made fan movie.... That doesn't put me off in the slightest for some reason. The blue hair and golden Frieza is odd but if it lives up to DBZ, we'll deal with how stupid it is because it's fuckin' radical. [editline]26th April 2015[/editline] Oh so the blue hair is explained as [sp]when you go super saiyan after having mastered the god form in your base form (aka what goku did) [/sp] [editline]26th April 2015[/editline]
Pretty sure Toriyama knew that no one liked the uub shit. If I would have LIKED Uub, I would've been okay with the ending. [editline]26th April 2015[/editline] oh and there i went and spoiled the big twist of the movie for myself this is why i need to not read the DBZ wiki
But would super saiyan 4 be stronger than Sayian God?
God ki is on such a different level from the normal ki like that of a SSJ4. I doubt one would be able to do any real damage to Beerus or a SSJG. On a side note, Chris Ayers, the replacement for Linda Young's Freeza in Dragon Ball Kai, will be reprising his role as Freeza!

Wishes shouldn't work on ssjg ki or it should be enough to break any wishes they did to goku. Baby shouldn't be able to control vegeta with ssjg ki. I don't see them being able to do a whole new saga with these two having ssjg level of ki. Maybe they could redo like an arc of it, with the 7 shenron's or something.

They'll probably have purple hair.
Super Sayian God Vegeto/Gogeta :v:
Iirc Vegito is/has been called the most powerful character in the entire series with Gogeta only a little behind, so a SSG Vegito would be a terrifying prospect for even the Gods of Destruction i'd wager.
SSJG Goku was said to be a 6 and Beerus was a 10, a SSJG Vegito would still be weaker than Whis but he'd give him a good fight.
And that's not considering SSJGSS, put that on top of Vegito and you'd probably have something surpassing Beerus.
I can't but think that is such a ridiculous name for the form, why couldn't they call it Elder God Saiyan?
