Pendulum live are one of the best acts I've seen, would love for them to reunite.
went to a DJ set in a small, packed venue for the immersion release, despite being one official rep with a laptop and equipment, just being there for that sound system was worth it, total blast
Just FYI, this might be more/less a one off thing.
Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen have been doing Knife Party for the past few years and haven't really said anything about a serious reunion.
This was their one off thing and they havent come out with anything since, besides Battle Sirens which was debuted here. I really do think they have been working on new music or a tour since Ultra 2016.
This announcement merely confirms that this performance wouldn't be a one off.

Fuck me, I forget about Ultra 2016 (mainly because holy shit the cost and distance). Hopefully you're right.
Recently got back on the Pendulum train and slapped this together a few weeks ago

This is the song for this thread:

I literally thought that they gave up on the whole "pendulum revival" thing with the release of their other albums, but this is great!
I remember finding out about them because of Slam being in one of those old stickman CS animations. Damn, what a throwback.
Oh snap, I love their music. I first heard their music from ze_FFVIImakoreactor :v:
About damn time the first time I heard knife party I wanted to die. Hopefully they do dnb justice once again.
It's worth noting that Rob Swire did say in a Reddit post a few years back that he had no interest in making DnB anymore, so who knows what they could come back with.

Might as well post my favourite Pendulum track. Can't say I'm their biggest fan, though I am very deep into drum and bass. Still excited to see what they'll drop for us.

Knife Party is dubstep though, not dnb.
Knife Party is dubstep though, not dnb.
Eh, they're really more electro house - esque, have a lot more in common with the festival scene than the dubstep scene (and they're not even that close to the former)
Pendulum got me into DnB, but idk going back and listening to them a number of their songs sound really really samey
Man, I still have the t-shirt from when I saw them in Denver in '08 or '09. That was my first concert when I moved. Awesome performance. Didn't know they were inactive since their last album.

Can't believe this was eight years ago....

Jesus fuck this song, years ago when i was in the car going on Winter Sport holiday and i would listen to this song as i started snowboarding off the mountain
Never understood why people hate on pendulum.
I like the entirety of In Silico and Hold Your Color.
It's rare that I like an entire album from any artist, let alone two.
Also step asside best pendulum track coming thru

This has been my favourite song for more than a decade. :joy:
It's weird as most people whom know pendulum seem to dislike it.

because it's cheesy and lame. like the korn of electronic music
I hope they make a studio version of I'm Not Alone.
The uploader here lies about it being studio version, but it's the best quality I could find:

I really wish they'd do more stuff in the style of Hold Your Colour & In Silico; I didn't really like immersion and really dislike Knife Party. Would love to see more:

If self vs. self had less shouted lyrics I'd probably prefer it a lot more, always wanted to see a rock band with a heavy electronic drum sound that isn't EBM.
... DnB ... The Prodigy ...
Seeing The Prodigy referred to as DnB feels very strange.
[editline]a[/editline]
Almost offensively so.
Yes! My favourite gaming artists are returning! Pendulum and tf2 man, those were the days.

They did. Too bad El Hornet confirmed a couple days ago it won't ever be released.

Hold Your Colour is one of my favorite DnB Albums. Not too fond of In Sillico and Immersion, though.

Always dug the sound of this song though.

I'm not sure what to refer to them as, but I do agree that DnB is a bit of a misnomer
because it's cheesy and lame. like the korn of electronic music
Glad you had the balls to say this when I didn't. I don't think they fairly represent the genre's depth and flexibility, and when it comes to DnB Sub Focus sounds similar but isn't nearly as cheesy, lame, or same-y
I love all their albums. Not a single song that I skip.
I love all their albums. Not a single song that I skip.
The Island Pt 2 is probably the only song I refuse to listen to. Pt 1 is great though.

It's definitely not D&B. Hard dance, rave music, whatever electronic, but not D&B.
