Idk if I'd call Pendulum a guilty pleasure but I love it either way. Self vs. Self is probably my fav song even though I have absolutely zero interest in that brand of music usually
Watch out, best song coming through

I'll be honest, I wasn't a huge fan of Immersion. I skip 75% of the album when listening to it. Watercolour, Crush, and The Fountain are fucking amazing, however. Hold Your Colour and In Silico on the other hand, I'll happily sit through the entirety of. Also, best song: Or maybe... EDIT: If you know me, you probably knew this was gonna happen. I'm just gonna take this time to plug one of my favorite music artists, Wolfgun. If you like Pendulum, chances are you'll like WG. Pendulum was one of his single biggest influences.
Pendulum brings back loads of awesome memories from me. One of my original inspirations for making music in the first place. Glad to see a return is in the works. Immersion is definitely my favorite album of theirs. Their intros are just astounding, and I can't wait to see what they have in store for the new release. The Tempest, Fasten Your Seatbelt, Witchcraft, so many for me to pick from of theirs that are my favorites, so I won't :)
This band introduced me to drum and bass 10 years ago, and now I have an affinity for electronic music. Who knew? [editline]11th January 2017[/editline]
Also, best song:
Tearin' down the wall is all good but you can't forget its companion
It's definitely not D&B. Hard dance, rave music, whatever electronic, but not D&B.
mostly breakbeat i think
because it's cheesy and lame. like the korn of electronic music
What's your favourite band I can say the exact same thing about it's genre and have just as much weight as you
What's your favourite band I can say the exact same thing about it's genre and have just as much weight as you
are you saying that all music is the same and that it can't be classified for what it is or something
are you saying that all music is the same and that it can't be classified for what it is or something
No I'm saying making vapid dismissive comments about bands without any actual reasoning is dumb
Rob Swire is still easily one of the most talented names in the Electronic music business. Glad to see this band back to bring some more.
Nice. Was a fan of them since Hold Your Colour after being introduced to with Slam being used in an old stickmen flash animation and loved everything by them, despite some folks disliking their sort of shift in style and direction after HYC. Seeing them close Ultra last year was pretty fantastic too. Gonna add onto the Pendulum love with
No I'm saying making vapid dismissive comments about bands without any actual reasoning is dumb
Okay. They went off track and became very samey in their later albums. Immersion was the worst example of this. Much of their earlier work was better, and their sound was really fresh at first. They just didn't seem to evolve much from that sound though, or diverge away with experimentation. This isn't uncommon in artists that get big, either. Madeon is one of my favorite artists who falls prey to this, heavily. I can respect the reasoning: when you build an audience of people who love your music, it can be scary to move away from that sound and risk losing that audience. Rob Swire is extremely talented though, no doubt about that, and Knife Party is still excellent. I like some of his less-known work, like Nervous . Haus is one of my favorite tracks, along with The Woods. Lots of great stuff. He hasn't gotten quite as samey at all: telling a story with each one of his albums helps with this, I imagine.
Always dug the sound of this song though.
what the fuck i didnt even realize steven wilson was on a pendulum track
Pendulum? Haven't heard them since this. So needless to say it's been quite a while.

The guy was always talented and his sound is always evolving, he's an amazing musician and deserves more recognition. Hence why I try to shill for him as much as I can :v: (also he's just a really nice and cool guy)
The Island Pt 2 is probably the only song I refuse to listen to. Pt 1 is great though.
I like part 1 and 2 :(
