obama is black
Holy shit I didn't notice because I myself am colorblind.
Hey, at least when he does nothing, he wasn't lying.
As stated before, I think it really shouldn't be. They're not products. They're people which we need to choose for what we think would be best for our country. It is okay that they make speeches on the TV and such, but personally I think that putting a freaking ad for them on every single street corner, and put ads on the TV for themselves? It can also be very biasing. That's probably why we have shitty government: it's always the one with the most cash for ad campaigns that gets elected, and it's too often the shittiest. I'm pretty damn sure if there was no ads, the country (this both applies to Canada and the US. I am Canadian.) would be governed better. Anyways, ain't we got already enough bloody ads for bullshit I don't even want?
Don't blame the ads, blame the mindless drones who sit there and absorb everything like a sponge and buy it without thinking on their couch, eating a whole can of Pringles and downing a 12 pack of Mountain Dew right before that big, greasy KFC dinner dad brought home.
The fuck do you have against KFC?
Way to miss the point
Go watch some BBC Parliament. I find it hilarious, they argue like kids.
Go watch some BBC Parliament. I find it hilarious, they argue like kids.
Australia's parliament is fucking stupid, all the politicians do is yell "MR SPEAKER" all day and grunt when they approve of something.
Australia's parliament is fucking stupid, all the politicians do is yell "MR SPEAKER" all day and grunt when they approve of something.
Replacing "MR SPEAKER" with "Oi Drongo" and the grunts with "OI OI OI" would make it far more interesting.
yeah, i agree, they won't suffer and with the money from the taxes thoy can make it better for poor people.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trickle-down_economics
I blame the enormous divide between the two parties. The fact that politics is so polarizing simply means that in order for a party to win, their candidate has to be inspiring, photogenic, and "different". For Obama, there's the whole "CHANGE CHANGE CHANGE" thing, and then with McCain we have the whole "I'M A MAVERICK I'M DIFFERENT" spiel. Elements of truth in both, yes. But it seems like the goal of each respective campaign is not the success of the United States, but the dominance of their party. Either way, I think that the state of American politics is just wrong. The way the parties are set up is so dividing, and the parties will do anything to scrabble over each other.

If you ask me, America is dumb but so am I :downs:
Why would you want to cut taxes for rich people. They aren't having a hard time if they are still making lots of money?
Private Small Business The employers of more than 50% of this country. The more you cost them, the fewer employs they're likely to hire, and thus the less people to pay taxes, and net-less taxes being collected for the government. It boils down to, the less money people have to spend, the less money people spend. Money being spent drives the economy forward. This is why I'm a republican and not a democrat. When you start "spreading the wealth," you aren't making it worth while to be successful. If you start a small and successful business, you don't want 1/3rd of your income going to lazy asses on welfare who've never worked a day of their life, do you? Edit:
He's just trying to make it look like he's doing something while admitting that he isn't.
You didn't read my post, and you obviously know nothing about either candidate's policies.
I still hope Obama will be the next president in the U.S.
I still hope Obama will be the next president in the U.S.
Any particular reason outside of "well I think he knows what he's doing?"
It boils down to, the less money people have to spend, the less money people spend. Money being spent drives the economy forward. This is why I'm a republican and not a democrat.
You're not making any sense. The less money people have to spend on taxes and fees, the more they will spend on increasing their standard of living, buying goods and services, thus driving the economy forward. Who's the most prominent buyer of these goods and services? Oh right, the middle class.
When you start "spreading the wealth," you aren't making it worth while to be successful. If you start a small and successful business, you don't want 1/3rd of your income going to lazy asses on welfare who've never worked a day of their life, do you?
So for there to be successful people there also have to be an equal ammount of miserable people? Thank you for teaching me about republican values.
I get all my political advice from Sesame Street.
I get mine from the teletubbies
Seriously dudes, this is your oppurtunity NOT to fuck up. If you want to stay a popular nation with good people, then for god sakes don't let us all down. If it were up to all of us, Obama would already be in the White house, but it's not our vote. It's YOURS! So don't mess up and vote for a 70 year old guy who'll die and be replaced by a crazy bitch who DOESN'T BELIEVE IN DINOSAURS! AAAAHHH! VOTE FOR OBAMA, DO US ALL A FAVOUR! LET THE RIGHT PERSON RULE THE WORLD BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE! And if you don't, europe will unite together, invade the USA and make it like the good old days. WHEN WE RULED YOUR COUNTRY! And that ladies and gentlemen, was my pointless rant :)
Just out of curiosity, how many people on Facepunch are actually able to vote?
Just to back up this poor guy's claim, look at this.. http://www.iftheworldcouldvote.com/results
Since when where you the official spokesman of the EU
Why does the Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia love john mccain so much??
Just out of curiosity, how many people on Facepunch are actually able to vote?
About 3%
be replaced by a crazy bitch who DOESN'T BELIEVE IN DINOSAURS! AAAAHHH!
She does believe in dinosaurs, she just thinks they existed only about 10,000 years ago and lived alongside humans. Which makes it all ok
VOTE FOR OBAMA, DO US ALL A FAVOUR! LET THE RIGHT PERSON RULE THE WORLD BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!
What are you on about?
Since when where you the official spokesman of the EU
At no point did I claim to that role, I merely said what we're all thinking, that and I'm incredibly biased towards the side of us Euro dudes and my homeland. Baby ;)
Since when where you the official spokesman of the EU
Since people who don't believe dinosaurs existed where allowed into the political career path.
What are you on about?
I may have over exaggerated :(
Oh man invading and taking over the USA would be awesome Bet they'd pussy out and nuke someone though
She does believe in dinosaurs, she just thinks they existed only about 10,000 years ago and lived alongside humans. Which makes it all ok
That implies she has the knowledge of the people that wrote, directed and produced the recent film, 10,000 BC
