JMEMantzel: Crazy mountain genius builds everything, why not giant robot?
90 replies, posted
This is the guy that pushed me towards mechanical engineering to help with building and repairing prosthetic limbs.
[editline]4th July 2013[/editline]
I love his mechanical work.
This guy is amazing, and his personality kind of reminds me of Floki
JMEMantzel's got a kickstarter campaign now, people. Let's make giant personal robot spiders the future.

Can someone send a few of his videos and his Kickstarter to tested.com? They love this kind of stuff and it'll get him some PR. (and the reason I'm not sending it is because I really can't make an email look even slightly good)
[QUOTE=CheeseMan;41214669]Wow I was getting ready to post this before I even saw this post

Holy shit, this is incredible.
ive been facebook friends with this dude for ages now, i love getting updates on his work

That toy looks awesome (watch what it does in the video).
Also to explain the chains he has wrapped around his arms. He puts them on in the morning and refuses to take them off until the task he has assigned for the day is done. It's really amazing how he motivates himself to do this shit all on his own
This guy is god damn insane and amazing!
[QUOTE=LoLWaT?;41478398]Oh my god this man is amazing.
People really need to get his kickstarter project out there and gain some attention.
[editline]16th July 2013[/editline]
$350,000 is pretty steep for a deadline of just over a month.
I hope it works out in the end.[/QUOTE]
It went to $14,500 in one day. If more people find out about it, it could end up being less than 20 days.
Add the kickstarter to the OP?
Done and done.
He's at $24k now, and that's only 240 backers, I believe in this man.
He just needs more attention because that's a big goal to fill.

Big goal, but great benefits. He's leaving it to where people can easily modify it as well. Which means we could have fucking GoPro attachments and the like if this gets financed
I'll back him a little next month, I'm broke right now and don't have money for such a bot.
It's a nice walker platform to fun things on it looks like.
Now this bastard has an indoor slide...completely durable, made of scraps, and fucking fast as well.

I genuinely laughed out loud over how funny and awesome this video was!
This is like exatly how i imagined my own toy battles as a kid.

2nd test date confirmed!
August 6th. Hope it works smoothly!
This guy is everything I aspire to be, I swear to God.
He works on so many fucking awesome projects. That being said, I'm half-tempted to buy him a bloody Go-Pro and mail it to him so he stops using he ye-old Camcorder :v:
This man is the freaking coolest dude ever.
Almost $83k on the kickstarter with 16 days to go.

wish it went up like that.

You read my mind.
He had a group of boyscotts over before, I really want to borrow one of my friends nicer cameras and document his property. I find it crazy that he built his own house.
I WANT THE ATTAKNID
