Depends how you define someone as better, I think Keith Moon is more technical though.

Yamaha Stage Custom, all birch
10", 12", 16" toms, 22" kick, 14" snare
old cymbals got stolen so my very nice friend lent me his old ZBT's. I can live with them.
I love my set up, cause I get the benefit of a 4 piece, with extra tom too.
painters tape fixes any problem btw.
guitar in the bg is some shit badocaster.

Does anyone know any good acoustic kits for a good price? My Electric setup is getting boring, as I am very limited to sounds and effects. I managed to get a double-bass pedal on it though.
How can i remove the vibration i get from my tom-toms that rattle my snare?
How can i remove the vibration i get from my tom-toms that rattle my snare?
I srsly dunno, i have this problem to :/
How can i remove the vibration i get from my tom-toms that rattle my snare?
Generally when that happens you have your snare and tom tuned on the same resonant frequency so when you hit one it resonates the other as well. Just try tuning your snare or tom different, you can also use some muffling as well.

I've tuned my tom-toms like crazy. Is there maybe a specific way to change the frequency? I also notice that my tom-toms sound is more legatto than the sticcato that i want, how could i tune it so that it doesnt change the sound but the length of the vibration?
If the above questions made no sense then just tell me and i'll try explaining.

Wear earmuffs, then you can't hear the snare rattling :D
Seriously that's what I do.

Did you try the bottom heads? I have no idea what legatto and sticcato mean but I'm going to assume you want a deeper sound, because that's what most people want, just try tuning them to the sound you want if it resonates to much or have a tone of overtones I recommend Remo or Evan's really any brand muffling rings (just little plastic rings). There is also Moon gel which are little square gels that I've heard muffles like crazy (never used them myself). Read up on this http://www.pearldrummersforum.com/showthread.php?t=165089&highlight=tuning even though his name is terrible his tutorial helps alot.

You'll just have to hand out ear muffs to the crowd if you ever run it through a sound system

You can crank your snares real tight, but that will make it sound like shit. There really is nothing you can do.

Get some soft foam and tape it to the heads. It might not look pretty, but its a damn good dampener.
glad to see this on front page
I've been practising the drew groove for the last week, I've finally fucking done the main part of it!

Yeah something about it was pure awesomeness.:3:
Anyone else got any beats liek that ' drew ' one ? :D
Okay I've had enough of my bass drum's crazy antics. I'm buying new heads for it.
How good is an Aquarian Super Kick II for metal drumming? I'm looking for that clicky, high attack, thumping sound.
this is what I'm looking at getting (all of it)

I've decided I'm not gonna buy any additional cymbals/drums, I'm gonna replace all of my current Cymbals/drums with better ones first.

Yeah that would be the best way to go about it, no point wasting money.
What kit do you have again? - Pics? :3:

That should give you exactly what you want (with the right tuning), I did that setup with Evans EMAD II and a ported bass reso made my old beginner bass drum sound awesome.
Okay I changed my mind. THIS is what I'm getting. I'm looking for the perfect metal setup (skins setup at least)

Unless anyone has had any experience with the aquarian superkick 2? Reviews say it might be too rounded and boomy for metal lovers, but I've been told that it's better than a Powerstroke 3.
Also I'll get kit pics in a sec.
just bought new heads for my baby <333333
