Does anyone know if these are good or not? I would buy the Remo rotar toms but those are too expensive for me.

What cymbals do you have set up?
yea they were pretty well worn. i think who every owned them originally played out a lot.
cymbals are a
16" paper thin crash Zildjian
the rest im not to sure on because the 16" is the one i got to replace a broken one.
like a 22" ride, 20" crash, 14" hi hat, and 20" china. i know there all zildjian but they are from the 70s so i don't know names of them off hand.
What cymbals do you have set up?
I have a shitty beginner kit , not even worth posting pics its just a typical starter kit , no modifications or brands.
I was thinking of buying some of those dampening rings that go on the snare/toms to dampen them(duh), thoughts? How useful are they? I got moongel but it doesn't do much.
get the gel ones they work better i think thats whats under the duck tape on mine

They work fantastically plus they're cheap so it's not a big loss if you don't like them.

they aren't top notch roto toms, but they should be fine for whatever you'd be using them.
Well, I recently found out that my dad and my uncle used to make Drum parts. They had a business known as Prime Design. They made parts for quite a few bands, such as Type-O-Negative and David Lee Ross. If you look on the back cover of the album October Rust by Type-O-Negative, you will find the name Dan Johnston. That would be my dad. And they would have been successful too, but they didn't have the ad revenue they needed, and eventually shut down. Recently, they said that all they needed to succeed was the internet for the public, which came about 4 years after they shut down.

thats what happened to alot of drum makers.

I PERSONALLY would not get those, but I can't say they would be terrible.
Just don't expect much, as they are cheap, and furthermore are made by Pulse.
They don't seem bad to me, and from what I heard Pulse doesn't make top quality products, but they don't make awful ones either. I looked for them on youtube and this one guy had them and they didn't sound too bad.

The drums don't sound completely "bad", but their hardware is just awful. I've not ever not had a problem with any piece of Pulse hardware on a Pulse drum set.
I had to play a Pulse set at my church for a while, and my friend had a Pulse set. Truly sad experiences =(
Ok, I think I'm going to get some new cymbals instead anyway, and stands.
Honestly the only drums I've ever played extensively are rock band ones on expert, haha. My sister has an acoustic set but it sounds horrible, even after I tuned it. I've been looking at the Alesis DM5 Pro and a Taye Power bass pedal. And the DM5 Pro looks to be a pretty nice kit. I'm probably gonna get it in a month or two, it's the best I can find for the price.
