Ok guys thanks for you answers :D
I will probablys get a kit for 500-700, if not im looking for some stagg and zidijan pieces.
Are they any good ?
The best beginner cymbals I have used are the Paiste PST's either 3 or 5 series (there isn't a 4 series btw), I actually use the Paiste PST 5 series hi hats and ride sound pretty good, not to fond of the crash but it works for a 16" crash
Also my setup!!!

I've changed the set up a little bit since this picture just made it all fit a little closer together really.

DO IT! It kinda looks like the remake of Joey's Pearl kit but without the crappy steel snare.
I have a Yamaha Electric. Any suggestions on speakers or mixers or other attachments I should get? I have already fitted a double-bass pedal to it and I'm planning on getting a set of real cymbals. I would recommend this kit anyone who needs to practice quietly. Any other Electric Drummers out there?

Im serious, the drummer in my band plays drums, believe it or not
first off, drum thread, I LOVE YOU OP!
moving on, drum wise, i am a purist. I've never taken lessons, because i dont think there nessacary. no matter how long you learn, a "fabricated" drummer can never match the skill level of a "born" drummer. Practice alot, and just do whatever works for you.
MY setup, (not my pics)

Lmao - what did i just see please ?
I can't really have acoustic drums. Yah' know because of next door complaining etc. So i'm stuck with my Roland TD9KX electronic kit. Don't get me wrong, i love it. But its nothing like playing real drums.

Yeah , i dont really know anything about electronic drums. Are they good etc?
Well you can assign sounds to each pad and of course you can adjust its volume. Much more compact as well.
Your going to have an awfully hard time finding a kit for under $200, maybe you'll be able to find a used one on ebay or something, and yes having a GOOD drum teacher will benefit you greatly.
My most recent kit is Tama Starclassic birch/bubinga, it should have cost $3000+ but because of the smallest little scuff I got it for $1500 :D just need to upgrade my snare and cymbals and I'll be good.
$1500!!! Your reallllllly lucky.
Just don't get cymbals from the ZBT line from Zildjian. It's too cheap.
Better yet just don't buy sheet bronze cymbals of any brand unless your on a real budget. Though I did hear that ZXT's Total China was real nice.

Well as far as dynamics go. The TD9 (being only a practice/semi-pro electronic kit) has excellent dynamics and sensitivity. As for feel, the TD9 i have, has all mesh pads. Therefore it bears a resemblance to real drums. But any drummer could tell the difference between the two. My TD9 also has dual trigger cymbals and pads, I currently have a couple of China's and an extra crash set on the rims of the toms, you can be really diverse and create your own drum set. My advice is, if your looking for a good practice electric kit, go for the Roland TD4 compact. If you're looking for a semi-pro set, Go with the Roland TD9 and if you REALLY want to push the boundries, like lets say if you were looking for something to last you 4-8 years and you're a pro. You should get a Roland TD20 but be warned of the price (£3500-£4000).

My Gretsch USA kit was originally sold for 6k dollars (in the 80's), but i bought it for 1k since the seller was in a personal economical crisis sort of. Drums sound amazing. I then bought A new snare and some new cymbals and drum-pedals over the years. So total spent on my kit is something close to about 4k dollars.
I don't regret it though.
You might also want to buy/get EZdrummer(It's a drum plugin with excellent samples.). Then you connect your drums to the computer through a usb to midi converter(i think it was) and then run EZdrummer in a DAW that can use .vst-plugins(FL studios, Cubase or others), and BAM, your electric drums will sound good.

thanks il consider that , and 6k wow thats lucky
I have zildjian ZBTs :psyduck:
I think they're pretty good, they were that last thing I would have upgraded.
I have a Pearl Vision VX kit by the way.
None of my stuff is great but it's more than good enough for a beginner.

I'm just on a begginer kit , but when i get to about 18-20 im really gonna splash out
1. Is there any good drums or drum pieces under 150-200 since im looking to buy some new equipment or maybes get a whole new kit.
2. Do you think books would help me learn or actual drum teacher/lessons ? Books seem boring but have alot of info , but lessons seem more active and easier to learn from.
- ragawaga
1. A new cymbal in my town (with stand) costs well over $300.
2. Self-learning is definitely more fun, just learn how to hold the stick and keep time >_> The rest will come with experience.

Absolutely untrue. I know a guy who's been playing for almost four years without lessons, and he sucks major ass. He has too many bad habts to count. Form is very important.

Many of the top drummers today are mostly self-learned. Most of them though, has started going to a teacher to learn good technique and form. The problem is that most drummers(and instrumentalists) just play to "play", and not get better at their instruments. Thats why theres many bad players.
Anybody who is thinking of going with an electric kit, do it. They are worth all you pay, unless they are crappy unknown brands. Rolands are the best and most realistic out there, but there is a hefty price. I have a Yamaha DTX series(DTXPL) drumkit, and with a little tweaking and some accessories, it's very nice. The best part is that it was only $700 and sounds great!(except the hi-hat which sounds like trash cymbals vibrating together)
EDIT: I found this. http://drumsconfig.yamaha-europe.com/
You can configure drum kits and stuff.
