I love having 3 up 1 down with the toms.
BTW is it hard to double bass and double cymbal? I would love to buy 2 cymbals and 2 kicks but i know it miught be too hard :/
Double bass just takes some practice, and I'm not sure what you mean by "double cymbal"
Like , when you hit a cymbal straight after another cymbal, but it produces a fill. Think thats the right explanation of it
Not really, but depends on where your cymbals are.
Hi-hat to Ride can be a bitch, but other than that it should be pretty easy.
I love the sound of double cymbals , they sound fucking awesome I mean , go to 24-26 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHfrK3bVCXI and listen to the awesome sound :v:
Wohooo! Soundcard came in the mail! Set up the microphones and plugged 'em in and recorded. Sounded amazing!

I just ordered a new splash and a crash. Also the stands for them. My old crash sounded and looked like it was found from the attic. Also the stand didn't even have cushions (or what ever they are called) so I didn't even sound like a crash.

I ordered a crash and two cymbal stands last friday and still didn't get either of them. :Dawkins102:
Recently found machinegunsmith on Youtube, he's pretty awesome.
I'll post something soon. Anyway, when you record you always find out what your weaknesses are. So it's back to basics on my part. Have to practice grooves and technique at slow pace for recording this weekend.
machinegunsmith is fucking awesome :v: And im waiting Thaard :D , should be good :buddy:
While you wait. True professional!
hey guys could anyone just simple and easy tell me what a very basic thrash-drumkit would look like ? I mean how many cymbals / toms (if it matters) either pm or type here thanks :D
Lets talk cymbals guys! How many and what make you guys have. All my current cymbals are Meinl. I own a pair of 14'' soundwave soundcaster custom hi-hats, a 17'' Soundcaster custom medium crash, a 18'' MB20 rock china, a 22'' Soundcaster custom mega bell ride (Best freaking cymbal ever!) and a 18'' soundcaster custom medium crash.
why didnt i get any of the things i ordered yet wtf
I just have 1 shitty standard cymbal. Get the job done i suppose. And Thaard thats epic :v:

I'm considering filming my uncle drumming. Should I?
Why not? I've only got a Sabian 20" medium ride (Sounds terrible for some reason...) and a Zildjian 16" Medium-Thin crash (sounds so nice...)
I got a B8 set of cymbals. Nothing fancy, but it works quite well. 22 inch ride? maybe 20 18, 16, 14 inch crashes 10-12 inch splash (not sure) 14 inch hats. And a $15 China cymbal (I bought it for $15 new, and it doesn't have any brand on it.) Aiming for new hats/ride soonish. I played some Paiste Dark Crisp 13" hats at my church the other day for like 4-5 hours, and they were awesome..however I'll still probably get some Sabian hats, since I can't find much of a selection of Paiste cymbals at my Guitar Center.

Matt is a sick drummer don't get me wrong. But i can't help but chuckle a bit when he flails his arms so much, when his body is so still.
13' Sabian hhx groove-hats, 18' and 8' zildjian a costum crashes, 21' sabian aax ride, 14' aax el sabor hand crash. Expensive but worth it.
I'm considering filming my uncle drumming. Should I?
Yea :D And augustburnsred thats cool :D , very fast :)
