Thanks alot. I'll probably record more tomorrow, maybe more grooves 'n stuff.
post a video please
I was just asked if I play drums by my neighbours because they can hear me. They live down the road. Awesome.
My drum teacher every year hosts a drum fest where all of his students, including me of course, bring their set and do a bunch of stuff at my uncles house, because he's friends with my drum teacher and he lives out in the country with a huge-ass yard. Anyway because of rain it keeps getting canceled, and it's been post-poned for like five times. gaaahh
That's awesome :v: Like a biker convention but with drums!!!!!:3:
No vids today, sorry. I'll record tomorrow.
No vids today, sorry. I'll record tomorrow.
Awww Ok, still looking forward to it :v:
I need to tune my drum set, but I suck at tuning it :(
I need to tune my drum set, but I suck at tuning it :(
Ughh i hate tuning, just get someone to do it for you or look up tips on the interwebzzzz :v:
I did look up tips, it still sounds like a piece of shit.
I need to tune my drum set, but I suck at tuning it :(
I gave up on my floor tom :P The rest are easy though, just try as HARD AS YOU CAN not to mess with the back-skins.
I did look up tips, it still sounds like a piece of shit.
Theres alot of vids on youtube on that particular matter. But you should buy the drum-torque key. Link: http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/product/Evans-Torque-Drum-Key?sku=443805
Is it unusual to be a left footed but right handed drummer? Cause that is what I feel I would be :tinfoil:
Beofre i started drumming, i was strictly right handed and right footed. After play for a few years, i'm now open handed. Meaning i'm left handed and right handed. Same go's for the feet. Its just so easy now.
musicians friend better send me my fuckin cymbal stand or i am calling into complain
Is it unusual to be a left footed but right handed drummer? Cause that is what I feel I would be :tinfoil:
That's quite unusual, how is your kit set up ? :S
Is it unusual to be a left footed but right handed drummer? Cause that is what I feel I would be :tinfoil:
so you play open handed on the right side. Already seen it on the left side (right handed set but with a left handed drummer). Unusual yea but if you are only able to play like that well do it.
That's quite unusual, how is your kit set up ? :S
I don't have one :buddy: But from airdrumming, when using my feet, I can't really keep the bass pedal going with my right foot, and I feel I can with my left. I don't get it.
Haha, I just finally got my new drumheads yesterday. I got all Evans heads. TOMS 12" clear G2 13" clear G2 16" clear G2 Snare 14" coated G1 Bass 22" EQ4 batter head I really like these heads, they have a sound that suits just about anything. I only got new batter heads, though. I need to find some good resonant heads for the toms, and one for my snare.

I should probably explain, I haven't drummed for about 5 years. I wasn't fantastic then, and I don't think I would be now. But I want to start drumming again.

And it turns out that one of my friends needs a drummer, so if all goes well, I could get into a band :v: [editline]08:15PM[/editline] But I'm really crap.
Finally I got my 18" crash from eBay and so far it sounds great, but the only cons are is that it doesn't look very good, and it smells. I know there are cymbal cleaners but can those get rid of bad smells?
Sorry guise. There won't be any drumvids untill later. But on the bright side, I've finished recording the drums for my bands first track

I actually recorded a drumvid yesterday, but it was teh crap. It sucks when you accidentally hit rims and mic's. But there will be a new one in the next few days.
