Well after complaints from neighbors and the constant lack of space for my drumkit, I'm going to sell it. My parents told me that since it's not my fault that the neighbors are complaing they are going to put some money towards an electric kit. If I get the money I'd like to for my current kit then I'll probably get this baby:
Do it but switch out the bass pad for a mesh head.
I don't have money for a new set, and I wouldn't even know what to go for if I did. Also, I've been using a double pedal for about 2 years. I don't use it when playing beats, nor do I like double bass songs. I usually just use it for drum breaks and fills. If I can figure out how to use my family's camera I'll upload a video of me playing.
You don't need to buy a new set. If you put like, $100 into some new heads (batter and resonant) you can make that set sound amazing, as long as you tune it right.
Random picture of my kit: Anyone wanna buy it? :v: It's not in position for play atm so don't complain about the set up.
How much you want for that 16'' ZBT crash?
Sorry mate, but I'm not really looking to sell it in pieces.

Does anyone know where I can find some good music loops without drums? All I can seem to find are drum loops and general music loops.
Search for spencer strand on iTunes.
I seriously wish i had the space for a drum kit in my house. Anyone know if I could use practice pads easily. I have one, and it's no way near enough for a decent practice, i need atleast something close to a drum kit. Rudiments are good and all, but i need to practice beats

But it'll sure save you money. Obviously it won't sound like a drumset, but you can still jam on it i guess. Just a suggestion. http://www.studydrums.com/makedrms.html
Could an electronic set work? Those are smaller and quieter than an acoustic set
I'm sure it could, but it's about $500-$600 on the low end for any electronic set worth playing. But electronic sets can be alot of fun.

I played my drums for the first time in months today. Felt good but I felt scared to play loud :P I also realised how nice my snare sounds, or maybe I just think it sounds good because I haven't heard it in ages.
Felt good but I felt scared to play loud :P
Haha, I always get that! Very annoying considering I play loud naturally

Everything except my snare and toms sound good. My snare and toms sound like a cats in them and screech every time I hit one.
Do you guys think one of these would be worth it? I really can't afford an electric kit, and just a single practice pedal isn't enough http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/en/73258
IMO that's too pricey. I've seen ones cheaper than that in retail stores
Thread-revival! New youtube vid. Playing in 7/8 this time.
Nice site called drummerworld.com if any of you like to surf drum forums for tips and stuff. Some professional drummers use it too.

Seems to answer my questions in less than a day. I prefer good answer's anyway. Just personal taste.

Drummerworld is alive and well, and not full of snotty teenagers as pearl drummer-forums(in my own opinon). Not only that, but real pro-drummers post on DW and have accounts on the forum. Gavin Harrison, Todd Sucherman, John Riley and many others. Also, proof that you dont need big muscles to play fast!
I wouldn't expect a fat black man to be able to play that fast.
just got all my toms fitted with black hydraulics
