Video please!
i got rockwood shells, remo heads, sabian crash/ride hihats and a splash
just got a Taye PSK602c double pedal :D
Need to sell my kit already, tired of having about 1 hour window to practice every day. How much would you all say this is worth:
Pearl VX Vision fusion size kit (5 pc)
Aquarian resonant and batter bass drum heads
Zildjian ZBT cymbal pack (hi-hats, ride, 16" crash and 18" crash)
All new pearl hardware, including pedal
3 pairs of sticks, one of them being Ahead Lars ulrich signiature
Vic Firth ear muffs.
1 zildjian cymbal bag
I'm asking because when I put my kit up for sale some guy emailed me saying it was too expensive. I was asking for £600

That sounds about right are you going for an e kit?
Been taking drum lessons for a couple years now. Would have to say that out of all the instruments I play, (like 6?), drums are one of the funnest.

Yeah I'm planning to spend around £900 on a Roland, may as well get a decent one.
Where did everyone go? The favourite drummer thread? Anyway, new playalong video. in 9/8 this time.
I'm beginning to get alittle short of new Tommy Igoe tracks. Anyone got any request for drumcovers? And preferrably not something with excessive double-bassing.

As much as I love your playing style, I really like to see you do a metal song or something.

Hmm, I have a pair of Mapex doublepedals, but the chain is fastened with fishing-line since it broke. The guitarist in my band wants me to cover a Cynic tune.. Well, I'll take any requests anyway!
Just ordered new pedals:

They're not the best, but they will beat my millenium pedals easily... :P Maybe these will get my motivation up :)
Ugh, i hate being rusty. You go to play something you could play a few weeks ago, and completely mess it up!
I haven't played for around 6 months+ and i feel like i want to get back on it but i feel too shy playing it knowing everyone in the neighborhood could probably hear me easily. Tips?

Maybe you could try just lapping out some basic beats, just to see if you've still got it

I dunno about you, but I find Pearl makes a good ass pedal.
But pearl is expensive, those Demon Drive ones go up to $2000 where I live.
Has anyone else heard of Dream cymbals? I was browsing the site of a local drumming store and I came across them. They were pretty cheap and from the videos I saw they sounded nice. This is their site btw:http://www.dreamcymbals.com/index.php

Yeah I know, but those the "worst" pearl pedals, but I'm not saying they aren't good. :)

$2000??? What the fuck? I have usually seen them to be sold at 666€ (666, I guess pearl tried to be funny :P) which is about $920.
I have a Mapex double pedal, the heads have a cotton and wood side that you can flip around. On my drumkit it sounds kicking rad, and I saved £40 instead of getting a pearl one priced at £200. I played the pearl model at college, doesn't feel nice, even after setting the springs up for my style, it seems too slack and bubble gummy.
I still play a lot with the high hat open/closed along with the double pedal. I can't stand people that lock the high hat closed (or just slightly open) and bump out lots of bass. I can't see the talent in putting your feet up and down really fast. Though I do like it when it's used productively, like to throw in a few ghost notes.
Sold my kit for £500 cash :D :D
Got a vimeo account. Heres the cover

*sigh* I totaled my snare's bottom skin (Is that the right word?) yesterday by accident. It's a good thing they aren't expensive though.
Finally got my new drumkit
It's a Tama Superstar custom hyperdrive Red Silk with Sabian Sx20 Cymbals

That was awesome. I'm so tired of watching little kids uploading their vids and saying they're the best etc.
No matter how simple a song may be, you can ALWAYS hear when a drummer has feel, and you certainly do! Very nice

You need to do more. My only complaint is I can't really hear the bass drum. You really made it your own with the fills and everything.
Thanks guys! Yea, I´m having some problems after I switched to chain-drive on my pedal. It feels much better, but I also get more force. Problem is that the mic peaks, so that I get this crackling noise, so I have to turn it down. I´m trying fix it now.
I got hold of Rockband moggs(multilayer) so I can remove the drum-track. I´ll probably post more covers in the future!
Yay I finally got my new pedals and I bought new snare skins yesterday! Playing my drums now actually feels like I'm playing drums and now a pile of trash cans!
How can you tell if the stage is level?
The drummer is dribbling from both sides of his mouth

Drummer jokes. Bassists and Drummers are the butt of most musical jokes
