Very crisp. I don't think you drifted off the tempo even once.
Thanks. I'm getting alot of negative comments from Rush-fans though :P. It was expected.

Gentlemen sorry to be the self centered cunt here but all eyes on me. I've never drummed a day in my life but after getting a band started i've realised that finding a decent drummer is difficult and as such its been the final push to make me want to learn, wanted to try for a while but soon i should be getting some cash to get an electric kit. Doesn't have to be world shatteringly good, mediocre would be fine but it would have to be good enough for metal, I know starting with metal is fucking stupid but it's what I intend to play in time. Any ideas?

I'm getting a roland TD4KX, the X means it has mesh heads for the toms as well as making it sound cooler.
Theres the slight issue of the price with that, at most i'l be able to ge about 500 quid, maybe, so gettin a kit that expensive would mean I'd have to learn how to shit gold bullion pretty quick.
looks like you might have to get a yamaha, which personally i don't like, not compared to roland anyway, but still they're good if you're low on green.
Any particular models? or would i be better off soundproofing a shed and gettin an acoustic kit?
Any particular models? or would i be better off soundproofing a shed and gettin an acoustic kit?
Ideally yes, I'm getting an electric because my acoustic is too loud and I can't soundproof any shit. Acoustic would be nice though, remember to protect your ears boyo.
Will do, and outta curiousity, how much you selling your kit for?
£500, does not include throne or double pedal, just a single. Great deal right? Well I already made a deal and I'm currently arranging it's pick-up time. [editline]11:33PM[/editline] Also I only just realised the lousy bastards at GAK only sent me an Aquarian Superkick I when I ordered a superkick II.
If you have to have a "budget" electronic kit, I say a TD9 atleast.
Anyone here into cordination/independence? whether it's jazz or latin or w/e. Thats pretty much all I've been working on for the past year. It's what keeps me interested in drumming.
Say what? You mean like funky shit like this?
If you have to have a "budget" electronic kit, I say a TD9 atleast.
See the issue with that is that's about half a grand or more. Anyway i could build my own?
See the issue with that is that's about half a grand or more. Anyway i could build my own?
You could make your own triggers, but the real cost comes from the module. A lot of people buy cheap trigger pads and then buy the Alesis DM5 module. I still recommend you get a TD9 instead though, if you must get an electric kit. If you have at least ~$500-700, you'd probably be better off with a decent acoustic kit than a sub-par electric kit. Two new vids. Last rockband Drum Cover: The Police - Message in a bottle. And a quick lesson/tutorial on a jazz-shuffle I play on the "Shuffling along" vids on my channel.
So Thaard, did you buy the new pedals yet?
So Thaard, did you buy the new pedals yet?
My trip to the music store that sells the pedals got canceled, because I had to make other arrangements(car had to be fixed, trip to the mountains). I'll hopefully go next week.
So what pedals you decided to buy?
Havent decided yet. I gotta be 100% certain, since I want something that I can use for a long time ahead.
Havent decided yet. I gotta be 100% certain, since I want something that I can use for a long time ahead.
I would still recommend the Demon pedals. :)
I may have the chance to get a TD-9 and a set of iron cobra pedals for £650, awesome.
Just leave it , but while your there, gimme there number, and name. Good price, hard to find good condition used for anywhere near that
:downs: ahah i see what your trying to do. Mind you me and lettuce are tight n shit so i'l get the info :v: Right lettuce? :p
Hey, I'm more of a guitarist, but am I right in saying that the drummer's job in Seven Nation Army would be fairly easy? For those unfarmiliar with the song;
No... no, the opportunity is gone, shit I wanted that stuff. Stupid scammers.
Ordered a Pearl 2002c double pedal. Once it comes in, I'm going to start working on a Dez Moines- Devil Wears Prada cover for you guys.
i didn't know facepunch had it's own drums thread, sweet i'm currently owning a (kind of) vintage Pearl DLX. they were produced from 1980 to 1990 and replaced with Pearl Sessions (i'm not sure what series) 7 ply Birch and Mahogany rack toms: 12", 13" Floort tom: 16" Bassdrum: 22" cymbal set up all Paiste: 2002 Sound Edge Hi-Hats 14" 2002 Crash 19" 2002 Medium 20" Alpha Dry Ride 20" i'm just going to replace the heads somewhere this week with new aquarian super 2's and i'm all set to rock again
Sporting a TD4 here, and I've loved it the couple of months I've had it. If anyone knows a bit about the TD4 though, none of the kits actually sound at all authentic, with the exception of the second one (I think its called coated, but even on that one the toms sound weird). Which one does anyone else recommend?
