Obviously
He could be playing open hand. But I doubt it.
It´s weird his double pedal is a rightie.
Hoops.
who cares?
Leftie, I play right footed though.
Leftie, I play right footed though.
how does that work?
I haven't played for long... about 6 months i think .. im getting better .. but slowly.. im having a hard time practicing.. since i usually either push it aside or foget it . any suggestions to how i get my lazy ass away from the laptop! >.< Btw i own a Pearl Exports drumkit which i bought for what would be .. 80$ roughly.. used but no flaws at all.. so i can allways practice
^80$?, doubt it. _ Also, got a Paiste PST 14" crash to replace my high-toned crash that came with the set.
This thread died down fast. Well, I'll bump it with a new drum-cover. Red hot chilipeppers - Dani California.

[editline]09:43PM[/editline] also if you like chad smith's drumming you should check out his band the bombastic meatbats. i saw them for sabian live a while ago and they are the funk. Nice to see Chad aka Will Ferrel play somewhere else than in RHCP.
I don't play drums, but I've always wondered what other people thought of Sonor drums, so what do you guys think of them?
Sonor drums are around medium quality, their high end sets are really nice. [editline]10:30PM[/editline] Finally ordered that snare in the first post on this page:
So, I'm getting a double-kick pedal. Recommendations? Looking for a cheaper pedal, unfortunatley I can't blow too much money on a sick pedal :C

Looking for a cheaper pedal, unfortunatley I can't blow too much money on a sick pedal :C
Some pearl double-pedals are cheap and of ok build-quality. Don't remember what they're called. Also, top line sonor-drums are the bees knees. Check out Benny Greb, Tomas Haake and/or Gavin Harrison. Sonor Force and the sorts(cheaper) are ok. The good thing is that the hardware is good and solid.
Holy shit you guys, as creator of this thread i feel like a nonce as to how i never post, but this is because my computer is broke, good thing though, me and a mate who used to jam together 2 years back recently jammed agai, and were thinking its gonna be the start of something goooood :D
I feel left out. I only have a single bass pedal :(
I got me a pair of Axis AL-2!
Decided to go dumpster diving a couple days ago. Managed to pick up these babys. 1965 Slingerland drums 3ply maple shells with maple reinforcement rings. The finish slowly grows on you, but I have been high all day so that might explain it... Do any of you have suggestions on what Wrap I should use? There is a couple dings in the wood so it might look gross with a laquer or stain.
Guy at guitar center said that this kit: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Alesis-DM6-Electronic-Drum-Set-875801-i1449703.gc sucks mighty balls, isnt upgradable and has shitty quality. He said I should buy this : http://www.guitarcenter.com/Yamaha-DTXPLORER-Electronic-Drum-Set-769785-i1380291.gc. Is the extra papah worth it?

I've actually played on one of those Alesis kits and its the only E-kit that i felt would break while playing on it. Even when I was playing a bit softer it would rattle...thus creating false triggers. Get the DTXPLORER. Better Brain, Better Hardware, Better Samples, and very upgradable.

Thanks man! What's adding extra cymbals to an e-kit like?

absolutely not my music. but decently played i guess. i'll say this tho, get your technique straight, try a more "sweeping" motion instead of hitting it head on, opens up your cymbals easier. the hyperdrive deserves some better cymbals :D again not really my music, bit boring and all. (PS. i'd lose those ahead sticks, they have the annoying habit to make your cymbals sound like deadbeat horses) [editline]11:12PM[/editline] on closer inspection, you don't use your hi-hat pedal? ...classy

I don't know how it's boring either, playing along to AC/DC or anything with a straight beat for the entire song is what I'd call boring, this song has a ton of alternating beats, which is why I play it. Ahead Stick are now gone, I use Promarks. I didn't use my hi-hat pedal because the song didn't require it, if I threw a bunch of extra shit in there it wouldn't really be a drum cover as I was going for accuracy. If there was anything which obviously needed changing in the video it's my drumheads as they're still the stock ones, but you picked out all that random shit and didn't notice that? Do you even play drums? But good job on assuming my entire talent from 1 song. :downs:
