i wish i had uge's drum prowess at his age
Fucking love that song. [editline]17th February 2011[/editline] I love how he wrote that whole song himself as well.
Anyone know any fun songs to play for advanced players?
i wish i had uge's drum prowess at his age
I feel bad for his drumset
How much would it cost to get a drum recording setup? I can get these microphones: http://www.guitarcenter.com/CAD-Premium-7-Piece-Drum-Microphone-Pack-271264-i1126882.gc What else would I need?
I feel bad for his drumset
Why? He isn't hitting hard or anything. :raise:
Why? He isn't hitting hard or anything. :raise:
True, uge actually plays quite calmly compared to some...
His foot technique looks like he's hardly doing anything.
Anyone else here ever had a case of "Ugh, these aren't my normal sticks I can't work with these"? I broke the tips of my 5As and until my new pairs get here they just refuse to fit in my hand and I end up throwing these sticks all over the place.
True, uge actually plays quite calmly compared to some...
Agreed... Now this is a drum set I feel bad for: I know he's a bit respected drummer, but his playing style just makes me want to punch him in to the fucking face... (Also, very shitty music, but that's just my opinion.)
Travis Barker isn't taken seriously all around. he knows his rudiments but his drumming is nowhere near standards a drummer should have.
now this is a drummer.
now this is a drummer.
Derek is awesome. Kai Hahto is also very awesome. Probably the best Finnish drummer. (And is also my teacher :v:) He's been in bands like Wintersun, Swallow the sun, Rotten Sound etc. and I think he's been helping Nightwish with their new album. Some warm up solo video:
Now, THIS is a drummer!
Now, THIS is a drummer!
Hey dual beaters no fair. Now if he did that with only 2 beaters total... :v:
dem hands
oh u guys and your "fast" drummers now that is a drummer by god he's awesome
I would classify Carter Beauford as "fast". He's got world-class chops, but he uses them for musical purposes. Personally I prefer:
mangini
jesus fucking christ i watched one of his solos on youtube and it was fucking amazing.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-nOhRuebag Groovin' that shit.
[ /media] tags. No space in second one.
Decided to re-upload my drum video to youtube. I changed the format from AVI to WMV and you can see the difference. Widescreen, 2x better quality and on top of that it takes only 1/7 of the hard drive space that the .avi took. Note to self: Don't use .avi format never again... Here's the vid if anyone's interested:
at first i was gonna say it didnt seem like a hard song, then i realized your timings were perfect, which is a pretty hard task. nice
at first i was gonna say it didnt seem like a hard song, then i realized your timings were perfect, which is a pretty hard task. nice
Hehe, thanks! Although I have to say it IS a pretty easy song. And I did do a few screw ups.
so lets get a little conversation starter. what is your favorite drum beat that you play along with in a song or even just screwing around? mine has to be from 1:12 to 2:08 of and justice for all
Go watch more Derek Roddy and Mike Mangini stuff, they are both amazing fusion genre drummers, roddy plays jazz like a motherfucker and mangini can play just about anything
'roddy can play jazz, but nowhere near a good jazz drummer, personally i couldn't ever get into his stuff, he's got no groove. mangini's got the groove but at some point in anything he plays its just him playing really fast witouth it sounding really good at all.
