depends on the country i guess
less corrupt systems of government, more progressive political and social stances, an absence of institutionalized racism, better social services and better education, better economies and environments for research and development
there are a lot of things other countries do better than the USA
Can someone explain to me what he meant by Yosemite. I googled it and all i got was a national park, and when i looked for a definition it was for a waterfall.
“Yosemite is a renowned really expansive national park in America and the inspiration for our entire national parks systems. He is mockingly guessing that is our greatest asset, with the additional layer of humor being that Yosemite is a great asset because Americans agreed to leave it largely untouched.”
Watch the show, it's awesome.
Less serious than most hbo stuff but still amazing.
usa #1

First part was good then it all went back to cliche, sob sob, over dramatic TV again
Cultivated the worlds greatest artists? Hahaha sure
Safe the second part about how it used to it was fucking good.
I dunno, he's kinda right. In the past America was the greatest country in the world.... everything he goes on to list is spot on. Granted it had a lot of problems too back then, but it also had a lot of really great things happening. Now it's just more and more issues.
The youtube comments make me want to leave this planet.
its a giant circlejerk/religious debate.
After watching this I decided to watch an entire episode.
It was good.
I like this show, I would recommend you guys watch it.

I just did the same, hopefully this will hold me over until Boardwalk Empire starts back up. God damn, HBO has some amazing shows on their schedule right now.
This show must have an awfully small demographic.
This show must have an awfully small demographic.
Why is that? I would think anybody who watches the News and HBO would be the demograph
Why is that?
From the video it looks like a show about white people, politics, and it's (kind of, at least in most people's eyes) insulting religion. Considering he's saying that America has the most religious people, that narrows it down a little. Although, it occurred to me that this show probably isn't limited to just the US so I suppose it's not small, but a better word would be "specific."
anybody who watches the News
Decent argument but I'm pretty sure people who watch Fox news or anything like it wouldn't be too into this show. :v:

There are black people on the cast so not about white people, that religion comment in the video was something I didn't even notice the first time round and in what episodes have been out so far religion hasn't even been mentioned. This show is about insulting every major News network more than anything.
The show is about how the media has gone wrong since the advent of 24/7 television. TV Journalism is about ratings and not content to inform your viewers and this show is pointing that out by making a show about a News reporter who is trying to change that and having everyone in the media and his own company going against him for trying to actually report the news.
It seems season 1 is going to focus on events that happened such as the Gulf Spill for one episode and then move onto another important event like the 112th congress like this weeks episode.
Well this is a show from Aaron Sorkin so people that like Fox hate anything from him :P
i want bill o'reilly to watch this. it would be hilarious, no questions asked
unless you're black or female of course
or gay or hispanic or jewish or anything other than a white american man
or gay or hispanic or jewish or anything other than a white american man
Jewish people have the highest median income...so...(46% earning over 100k)nope.
Why does every Aaron Sorkin show have to be the same
Brilliant, but exactly the same
This reminds me of a segment Bill Maher did that was almost identical to this.
I can't help but debate in the comments section. These fucking Christians...

Not really. You don't go into trying to help a country by only saying how horrible they are. The second part was meant to tell the viewers that, while the country has plenty of problems, we've been on top in the fairly recent past, and it's possible to get back on top again.
Best artists? You can't really talk objectively about those things.
Why are people complaining about the second half? Yes it got all sob-story but what he said was true. Things have gone downhill but America was once truly great.
Why is it such a surprise to everyone? I thought everyone knew how much this country sucks.

Also looks like xianlee is now the funion of boxes.
