No love for his cooking videos? Don't tell me this don't melt your mouth.
Ramsay seems like a decent person, but the US TV shows make him seem like an evil tyrannical asshole who's hell bent on making people feel bad for fucking up fine dining food.
Like legit if you serve somebody raw chicken that could actually kill them honestly if you cant even cook something, never mind overcook it, you deserve whatever you get as a result, there's a lot of money riding on with every season as well as a position in one of Gordon's own restaurants. Some of the bozos on this show literally manage to fuck up fried chicken. On a children's special day. I'm all for being a bit more tolerant but i'm surprised that they get relatively unscathed save a few mean words when he rips into them for the most part Like honestly a reminder that there is a man who literally made Gordon Ramsay himself cry. Fine dining demands perfection, and if you cant deliver there are others waiting in the wings who can. Gordon himself uses what shortcuts he can outside of his kitchens, and indeed encourages their use, but if you're going to come in cock-a-whoop about your nonexistent cooking skills, dont be surprised if he lays into you.
No love for his cooking videos?
I watched the fillet steak sandwich late at night and I've never been so immediately hungry. that shit is enticing man One of my personal favourites of the UK version, the chef is battling with alcoholism but you can tell he still genuinely wants to cook Ramsay even gives himself a swear box

I've never had a proper steak. How much am I missing out?
Ramsay seems like a decent person, but the US TV shows make him seem like an evil tyrannical asshole who's hell bent on making people feel bad for fucking up fine dining food.
I think that's personally at least partially down to how they edit things down, but also because most chefs utilise their stress whilst working to motivate themselves and others. I worked at a fairly low-key tea rooms for a little while, and you'd still hear the kitchen staff shouting and swearing at each other quite loudly (though not enough to be heard by customers, of course) even though there were, at most, three of them.
OPs Hotel Hell playlist has disappeared -never mind, the url has been incorrectly pasted. you usually have to right click and copy url on Facepunch because it automatically shortens link text-
I've never had a proper steak. How much am I missing out?
Can't say a new world would open up to you but i would recommend everyone to visit a real quality steakhouse or grill at least once. Worth the 15-25 dollars you might spent
Tilly gives him so much shit, "We've seen burned garlic before"
He gives her shit too, like that episode of Masterchef Junior where he tried to set her up with one of the contestants.
hell's kitchen dinner guests are volunteers who assumedly know how the show works before signing on. why do they expect a good service?
I read an AMA that the Hell's Kitchen guests are friends and family of cast and crew actually, or celebrities.
I read an AMA that the Hell's Kitchen guests are friends and family of cast and crew actually, or celebrities.
That explains why Gordon is so dismissive of their complaints, but doesn't explain why they think there's a point to complaining in the first place Unless of course it's the showmakers' doing for drama
The AMA I mentioned earlier. I also read somewhere but can't find a source so grain of salt, but you can also try to get on the show if you have the right connections and the money by being vetted by the producers.
Unless of course it's the showmakers' doing for drama
Probably. There has to be drama somewhere
hell's kitchen dinner guests are volunteers who assumedly know how the show works before signing on. why do they expect a good service?
The worst thing is that they complain to the head chef instead of complaining to the waiter, like, they think they're so entitled. The equivalent would be to go inside the Kitchen and say the food was shit, which is what Gordon does :v:.
