The problem isn't about allowing him to drink inside, the problem's that he's getting grounded at the age of 19.
Yes I agree that's pretty sad his parents ground him at 19 but there's not really a rational way to deal with it besides just taking it until he moves out. If he throws a little fit ( or as you guys call it, "standing up") then that just creates more problems, which are unneeded. It's not really worth having prolonged grief or even getting kicked out of the house just because you got caught having drugs at a party. I just don't see how it's worth it. He only has to deal with this bullshit until he goes to college.
Alright guys, for those telling me to grow a pair, what do you suggest I do? Since I don't drive and live in their house, I kinda rely on my parents, especially since they're going to pay for me to go to college.
ohh true that i take it back guess your screwed :smug:
I am pretty impressed. What country you live in?
Quebec, Canada.
Quebec, Canada.
how long do they put you through high school there?
You're letting them blackmail you with their money, either take it and shut up or say fuck you and move out.

Why do you need to fail 2 times? Anyway, it's good that you are still going to school...
There's nothing you can really do. It's their house and you're their son, parents will and deserve final say in all you do until you do not rely on them for dependence. When my parents found i smoked bud i just told them to stop being so close minded about shit and just live a little and that seemed to work.

I'd have to agree with Aaron on this one. Retaking once sure, but twice?
I'd have to agree with Aaron on this one. Retaking once sure, but twice?
I don't see why you guys have to be rude about it, everybody struggles at things. At-least he is trying to pass and retaking the grade.

Make dat money :10bux:
Damn, dude, don't be an asshole, I remember a TIME when you needed help, there was plenty opportunity to be an asshole there. If you're seriously a snob who thinks they're better than others because you have a high school diploma, you're worse than the workers at McDonald's.
To everybody who says I didn't need to fail twice, yes that's true, but when I was a child, I wasn't giving a fuck about my future, because I just didn't realize how simple and easier is it to go at school when you're a kid. Now I understood a lot of things and gained a certain level of maturity, which is why I decide to stay at school and do what I want in my life. Actually I'll end my high-school next year if everything goes fine, and then will do a 1 year-diploma, to finally repair computers and install wires/network. So fuck that idea of yours, thinking I'll work at McDonald's.
I thought the mass use of capitalization would have given you guys the heads up as to that being a joke. No? WELL THEN MAYBE ITS BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA? (also a joke for those of you for aren't fortunate enough to pass high school in the normal amount of time) (also a joke) [editline]12:46AM[/editline]
To everybody who says I didn't need to fail twice, yes that's true, but when I was a child, I was doing a lot of thing without thinking of the future.
Did you graduate with a diploma? If so, you're not unbiased, either. But I didn't catch the sarcasm of your previous post. :xd:
I'm actually in my senior year of high school AND my sophomore year of college. How? My school is dual enrollment. Which means in many basic classes, you can enroll in the college level version of it. You receive the high school credit AND a college credit. When I graduate, I could receive my bachelors in 2 years if I wanted. I think I'll try for 3 years though. Don't want to skim anything pilot related. [editline]01:13AM[/editline] To be honest, dual-enrollment is a big joke and very ill prepares you for real college

If he's not working hard and is still droning away he's just using tax payers money for no raisin. or the f22 raptor
Isn't the F-22 being pulled? It's far too expensive and unreliable.
Is it? Damn.

Brb google. oooo I'm mistaken. The SR-71 holds the airspeed record. Stealth is still incorporated in many developed aircraft. The F-22 for example, is state-of-art and is probably the stealthiest there is. It also appears after certain airline accidents -- the one involving TWA flight 800 is a recent example. The reason we hear so much about the Stinger in these contexts is because the Stinger missile is an extremely effective weapon for shooting down aircraft.
