I agree, I think a lot of drug users base their beliefs off of science rather than a higher power because science is something that is always physical whereas a higher power may or may not be physical at all. Since science is always physical that means we're able to use all of our senses to experience what science has to offer. I can imagine the user will be intoxicated while considering science or a higher power, so the physical effects of science will have a stronger connection with the user rather than just using faith to believe in a higher power. Or at least that's what I believe has happened to me and plenty of other science believing stoners.
Does time in a vacuum exist? :350:

Especially considering some drugs really don't feel physical at all. LSD in some ways feels spiritual to me despite me not having spiritual beliefs. Not all religions say you're going to hell if you do bad things, and I don't think that Christianity says you're going to hell if you take drugs at all (Could be wrong, never studied the bible). I don't think of God as a physical being, I think of it as more of a self-awareness I should have to try to be a good person. I kinda have my own religion I call "Meaderism", I am a "Meaderist". God is not physical, it's way beyond that. God is an ideal, the thought that you should do what's right to make the world a better place, not to live for the afterlife.
Christianity even supports alcohol (aka jesus bloods or some bullshit), islamic religion is against smoking opium and weed (I think they smoked both in hookah), in shamanistic religions they support psychedelics just for religious purpose.
I doubt the bible says anything negative about drugs. It's only preachers and church organizations that call it a sin. They call many things a sin that aren't in the bible simply to demonize them
religion is a waste of time and money imo
religion is a waste of time and money imo
Religion doesn't cost money. Religion is extremely personal, and the only reason you would spend ANY money is if you go to church and choose to donate money. Donating is nice because it keeps the church running, so you can continue to learn about the bible from somebody who knows what they are talking about. It's much like going to school, only you don't HAVE to pay. I don't go to church because I do not follow the Bible, but rather my own version of religion. And if it it teaching me how to live my life and be the best person I can be, and really finding out WHO I am, then I do not think it is a waste of my time.
i very much disagree with organised religion. it goes against all the concepts of religion; an individual's belief. of course people will believe the same as you, but there doesn't need to be worldwide organisations formed around that fact.

If you need to find out who you are as a person you shouldn't have to resort to religion but I respect your choice anyways.

I didn't "resort" to religion to better understand myself, but rather called the understanding of myself: "religion". Which is why I choose not to follow any of the already in place gods, but rather my own understandings of things. And you can't push religion on others, it's something they need to find for themselves, which is why people who want to change your life and make that their life mission are sad.
