Anyone annoyed by "Hurr durr hot gurl shoots gun" videos on youtube?
I always loved the video of the chick shooting that Desert Eagle and the recoil slams the gun into her forehead.
Does anyone here own more than 35 guns?
I have 23 last I counted.
I have like 4 guns only :smith:
2 Sporterized Krags, 1 Mauser with a Remington stock and a Contender with only one barrel.
I think my next gun should be a shotgun of some kind, too bad there are so strict rules for them (can only apply for use for clay shooting and hunting, and I really want one of those AK-looking semi-auto shotguns)

I can't imagine buying one sporterized rifle without putting it back to the way it was meant to, let alone three.
The Krags were for use in sport (got one first that was really worn out, then the other wich had an entirely new barrel and had been properly maintained), the Mauser was inherited. The Contender is my first gun
I have 2 :smith:

What happened to the rest? Sell em all?
Well for a fact the only gun I've actually seen was this old FN-FAL para version my dad had from his army years.
I live in Belgium you see, and the FAL was considered the best at the time. Kicked like a mule on steriods though from what I've heard. One of his army buddies thought it would be a good idea to try and fire it with one arm.
He broke it.
The arm that is :v:

Ah well that's somewhat understandable.
Contenders are nice guns though, I fired one in 5.56x45, I think I grew another testicle for a moment after that.

There is no way a 7.62x51mm NATO round could ever break someone's arm unless they were shot with it.

The Springfield XD9 I had I gave to my dad to replace his revolver in a caliber no longer easy to buy that he kept for home defense.

I had to sell my GSG-5 and shotgun to pay for a fuel pump for my car just in January.

The SIG I sold to pay some bills.

I replaced it a couple months later with the Glock 26 I got in a trade for one of my ARs.

Just traded that for a Glock 19 a couple weeks ago.
Got about 8 hours of work put into this. I'll take better pictures when I get a few odds and ends that don't seem to come through with an imported one. Already have the correct eye piece in the mail.

Got it a few days ago, and it's a pretty amazing rifle. Once it's finally finished up, I'd really prefer it to an SVD for quite a few reasons, especially since it uses mostly AK-47 parts which are common and easily modified to do what ever you want. It shares almost all the same internal parts with my saiga 12 so that's a double bonus. I have the trigger down to around 3 pounds and the hook angled to make for a half-assed 2 stage trigger, but it works very well. All internal contact points are either lapped together or polished with an abrasive dremel polishing bit. The action is purely butter as opposed to the stuttering mess it came out of the box in.
For those not in the know, it's a romanian PSL. It fires the same round as the mosin, but it's semi automatic and uses 10 round magazines. Has a 24" barrel and the whole gun is around 4ft long. It weighs 10 pounds even when fully loaded.
The scope is a german manufacture IOR 4x6°TIP2 in perfect condition. Absolutely beautiful glass, comparable to ACOGs I've used in the past.
Quite a rifle if you have the tools and the time to turn it into a shooter. Out of the box, for the average joe, it's not going to work out well.
Sexy. Have you seen the Guerilla Sniper Rifle by Rifle Dynamics? They sort of 'improve' the PSL by shortening the barrel and doing some other stuff. Considering the work you've already done on your rifle it might not be worth it though.

how do you make a rifle better by making it worse.
And got damn you know your website is a joke when you use the word(?) "accurized" and talked about getting headshots.
[editline]1st January 2011[/editline]
hahahahaha god that website is so bad. Please no one ever buy a "Guerilla sniper rifle".
They want to charge you $500 for plastic furniture and a ugly muzzle break.
and the pictures of the SUPER ACCURATE RIFLE firing at a target has like a 4 foot spread between hits.
10/22's are fucking fun to shoot, if you learn to use a sling right to control recoil you can very accurately empty a 10 round mag without missing.

lol wut
Any of you know of stocks that have both a stock and pistol grip in same piece for Saiga shotguns?
Kinda like this:

First rule of gunsmithing; When someone asks "Why?" Thou shall respond promptly "Because I can"
I also gotta make my Contender a new stock, new barrel, get me a shotgun, do something to that, THEN I'm gonna bubba that Krag. Wich means you'll have plenty of time to buy it if you want to. (and begin at the gunsmith course, if that's still your plan)

Are the laws regarding pistol grips really that simple to avoid?
some shit i put
where do you live again?
is that mp5 automatic or does your state have laws against class 3s
First rule of gunsmithing; When someone asks "Why?" Thou shall respond promptly "Because I can".
This is exactly what I say when people ask me why I built a 25mm matchlock. Oh and 300 grains of powder as a blank in the thing is beyond epic, BABOOOOM.
Are the laws regarding pistol grips really that simple to avoid?
Yup, atleast on hunting shotguns

Because of that "silencer" and not the typical H&K red marks on the reciever, I'm gonna say it's a semi-auto MP5 clone

It is the GSG5 a .22 Caliber MP5 Clone.
That "Silencer" is fake, just to shroud the lengthened barrel.

So you telling me your dad's friend shot a military rifle, an 8 and a half pound weapon with one arm? And broke his arm? Now I have shot the 7.62x51mm round in many different measures of powder grain. I have never even brused my should firing that round.
How in the mother fuck do I fix my nagant's bayonet correctly?
It's a real pain in the ass to get on and off and i'm having trouble turning it.
Have you tried pulling it forwards to get it over the lug?
Is that why the council adopted thermal clip technology after the Sovereign incident?
[img_thumb]http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100205161607/masseffect/images/4/4f/M15Vindicator.png[/img_thumb]
No, the council elected to adopt thermal clip technology after the Geth revolutionized small arms combat by inventing detachable heat sinks for weapons.
The Geth network allowed them to review past engagements on a grand scale and calculate that one of the largest disadvantages of small arms weapons of the time was the required delay for heat management. This resulted in the number of rounds being fired per rifle drastically dropping below what was ideal due to heat buildup. The Geth solved this by creating thermal clips which would allow a soldier to completely dissipate a heat buildup nearly instantly by ejecting the spent clip and replacing it with a fresh one.
For a short time the Geth maintained a serious tactical edge over organic combatants in squad level engagements, but the technology was quickly adapted and adopted by the council member states and is now the primary weapon design in the field.
Jeeze, get it right. :P
That's the most drawn out response of "they invented reloading" I could ever think of.
That's the most drawn out response of "they invented reloading" I could ever think of.
They didn't even invent it. They reinvented it.
It's the most half assed in-game explanation I've seen in a good while.
The increased rate of fire cannot begin to compare to UNLIMITED FUCKING AMMO. I'd shoot all day long in ME1 because, again, unlimited bullets. One gun overheats? Pull out the pistol!
ME2 was such a failure in the weapons department. They totally dumped the interesting brands and variety of weapons from the first game and severely limited your ammunition capacity so that all the really fun weapons got like 15 shots.

I'd suggest to get a dremel and sand the inside a bit.
