I hate being in Britain, knowing the biggest gun I'll ever fire was a 22. training pistol

I think that is a modded ruger mk2.
nah its just expensive as fuck
I've actually been thinking about taking a chance with one of those GSG-5s. The .22LR MP5 clones.
I've read some reviews and despite some easily fixed issues. (Replacing the screws and putting in HK push pins) they seem like cool little plinkers. Local store here has them for 350. I remember when they first hit the market for 500+.
It'd be a neat little platform to cheaply shoot, and likely a good conversation / show off piece to the friends. You can't beat the price of .22LR and having that "MP5" look would be pretty sweet.

Why use 10 gauge when 3 1/2" 12 gauge magnums do better?

I figured Nambu since it has Japanese writing on the back part. Plus the grip isnt canted as much as a MKII

The 10 gauge used to be fairly common, but it stopped being popular when the 12 gauge caught up to it in terms of performance.

and K98 and K98K are the same gun lol you don't need to list it twice..[/QUOTE]
I was under the impression the K98 was the german service rifle of world war 1, and later on it was shorted slightly ad referred to as the K98k.
Im guessing the early WW1 versions would be significantly more rare.

That was the K98a, typically issued to Stormtroopers and the like, everyone else used the full length Gewehr 98.

Well I have a GSG5, I still need to replace the pushpins but otherwise I got the pistol version.
From the firing standpoint, I haven't tried that out, otherwise it seems like a solid gun.
Get it for $350, that is really a good deal.

because its not as intimidating as saying '10 gauge'

You're thinking of the G98.
That was the WW1 service rifle and Germany's main battle rifle up until 1935

I have a question I was hoping someone could help me with.
My question is are there any online vendors who do not require that I be 21 to purchase ammunition? I'm 19, and I'd be ordering rifle and possibly shotgun ammunition. I know that I can purchase ammo in person but some sites are saying I need to be 21 or older to order it.
I did some research and I actually worked for UPS and as far as I know they don't require an over 21 signature to deliver it, but they can if the seller requests it. Does anyone know any sites that might alleviate my problem?

Does anyone here EDC? If so, what do you carry? If not, what would you carry if you did? Bonus points for pics.
I have my CCW permit and a pistol, but I don't carry it. It's a little bigger than what I want to carry. I was leaning towards a CZ-82 because it's cheap and I'm impatient, but I've sort of been saving for something a little more expensive.

Actually I heard getting a 12 gauge is easy as fuck in the UK.
(as far as easy goes with European gun laws. The Dutch ones are at least a bit lighter than the UK ones)

What guns am I able to get in Victoria, Australia/How to get license?

From what I've read the rules are pretty similar to the Dutch rules.
Join a gun club and after a year of active shooting on the range of said club you'll have to take some tests, have a safe in your house for gun storage, police will come over to check if said safe is actually safe, you'll be able to request a license (which will take a while) and that's about it.

And almost all over Europe.
Yet they don't stop people who have the intention of actually killing people with firearms.
If you really are out to kill someone then all it takes is a day of driving to the east of Europe near the Balkan, finding the right person and going back home where you can point the shooty part of the gun thingy towards the person you want dead.
[editline]4th January 2011[/editline]
And most of the time the guns in the Balkan are even cheaper than legally obtained weaponry.
But who cares? Those gun laws sure protect the law abiding citizens of today from all those pesky criminals who go and get gun licenses to kill people.

There's a cartoon of two robbers with guns outside a building with a sign saying "NO GUNS" or something to that effect, and one robber says to the other something along the lines of "Damn, now what do we do?"
