how much did that mag cost, because if it's a Russian aluminum one then I admire your dedication to authenticity (even if the rifle isn't actually "Russian")
Couple of my guns just for the fuck of it.
best one is still the Barrett!!!!!!!
omg yeah XD!!!!
Why but that when you can buy a .500 S&W revolver for much cheaper?
Because people have personal preferences about their guns? I pick a gun that appeals to me, not what is cheapest. Of course, I don't live in a shite neighborhood so for me, a gun is simply something to shoot at the range, not for defense. So I don't need the cheapest. (I have never even fired a gun before :frog:)
I recently picked up shooting with one of my dad's old friends, and I enjoy it a lot. I had never even seen a real gun before then. I prefer older guns, like the Garand, or a Springfield.
Springfield.
?
Springfield 1903 Rifle
I've put at least 2000 rounds through my glock and it hasn't jammed, and it is very accurate. No mods whatsoever.
That is probably because you don't do it very often, always hold the weapon with a good stance, and clean it well. If glocks take any kind of punishment or filth or aren't held perfectly they turn into a Chauchat.
oh look slavshit. I never really got why people admire the Russian guns so much. But meh I'm being a hypocrite
Because they work so well? I've never had a jam with any of my AK variants [editline]08:03AM[/editline] And that includes bumpfiring
My Mosin Shoots like a dream and never jams... unless you put the rim behind the other ones... bad idea.

This man is enjoying the bastard child of the pistol ban. Want to own a 1911 in the UK? That'll be a 3500 inch barrel, huge-dick rod out the back and .22 LR chambering please. Straight-pull model. This is actually an AR-15 platform based around the lever-action mechanism. <3 Buntline .357 with obscene barrel length This could hit a man standing 100 yards away, and still be at point blank range. But oh wait, you can still legally own semi automatic magazine fed shotguns! Yes, that's right. No centrefire semi autos, but shotguns are fine. You could even use slugs in them. Royally fucked up gun laws, gun crime still as high/ if not higher (see 2004 handgun crime levels) than before the bans, fish and chips and mushy peas. Welcome to the United Kingdom.
^ Didn't really explain the UK gun laws, can someone explain them for me in detail?
^ Didn't really explain the UK gun laws, can someone explain them for me in detail?
There are two license you can get: a 'Shotgun Certificate' and a 'Firearms Certfificate'. You must have a reason to own either, usually requiring you to be a member of a club or have your own land to shoot on for vermin control. A shotgun certificate is relatively easy to obtain, requiring a small amount of paperwork, one referee etc. You can own as many shotguns as you please and store no more than your stated amount of ammunition at home. You are required to have a gun safe which is attached to a solid brick wall, which is inspected by a Police officer before your application can continue. You can own a shotgun which is semi automatic, pump action, over and under - whatever - so long as it does not hold more than 2 rounds (2 + 1) in the magazine. IIRC the gun must also not use external/ removable magazines. If you wish to own a shotgun with a removable magazine, or one which has not got its magazine capacity limited, you would need to obtain it through a firearms certificate, and it becomes a 'section 5' shotgun. The only real accepted reason for owning a section 5 shotgun is when you're involved in PSG (Practical Shotgun) competitions. A firearms certificate is a bit more complicated, but still more time consuming than difficult. It requires multiple referees, exact details on how many firearms you're planning to own, their calibre, model etc. You have 5 slots or 'variations' on your ticket which you can fill with firearms of differing calibres. If you wish to own a gun of a different calibre to one specified, you must apply for a new variation on your certificate. The same goes for people wishing to own more than 5 firearms. The same requirements for a gun safe are in place, there are police inspections etc. There are huge waiting periods for applications of either gun, some counties process it quicker than others. Some people have to wait 2 months, some have to wait 6 or 7. It's not predictable In terms of actual firearm restrictions: Banned - Semi automatic centrefire rifles - Handguns - Firearms that are less than 600mm (23inches) in overall length. NOT INCLUDING BLACK POWDER/ MUZZLE LOADING GUNS Legal - Semi automatic rimfire rifles (.22 LR being the most popular here) - Non semi automatic centre rifles (only bolt actions, straight pull, lever actions etc; essentially rifles requiring manual feeding - Shotguns - Muzzle-loading/ blackpowder pistols and rifles - Air rifles not exceeding 12ft/lbs of energy (if it is any higher, it must be held on a firearms certificate, otherwise they are unregistered and can be bought by anyone 18 or older) - Air pistols not exceeding 6ft/lbs of energy And you Americans thought California was bad! Hope that was helpful. It's relatively condensed, there is some more to it. You can find shit loads of information about this on this by Googling for it, if you're really interested.
We have it worse in Ireland.
We have it worse in Ireland.
-snip- I am an idiot, sorry. It looks like you guys fucking do have it worse. Although from the looks of things pistols aren't banned there- even if they are extremely hard to get.
I wish we had a system akin to the U.K's. We can't have rifle's or shotgun's that look like they are used by the police/military and that includes deact's and replica's (Airsoft is a grey area). On the pistol side of things we can only have .22's anything above that is banned. We had a practical pistol team but they were banned as the sport "could be used in training paramilitary organisations" This is all because of gang crime in the country, and to a lesser extent (in modern times) scar's from the Troubles. Funny thing is the gangs don't use legally bought and licensed firearms it's pure scare-mongering.
Oh fuck yeah. Contributing. Images
Generic scope buddies!
Lol UK gun laws are funny. I'd say Canada is pretty much the middle of the road. We can pretty much have whatever we want for the most part we just can't carry it whatsoever. Which is pretty dumb but whatever.
For some reason I really like the look of the Gewehr 1888. Wonder if it's even possible to get one here.
