I'm not sure if I want to buy that .22 Erma M1 Carbine. It seems like a good idea but I read that spare parts and magazines are hard to find and expensive as fuck. Well, I guess that's the problem with semi-rare weapons :sigh:
Yay
Entirely legal in Canada. It's non-restricted. Apparently it's overpriced as shit (around $600) but meh it is non restricted and takes pistol mags.
Yeah... I can only find one place that sells them online for $695! Ridiculous. Another website doesn't even get their shipment until Fall, and are charging the same price. Edit: Removed reward due to shipping regulations. Turns out the Kel-Tecs in Canada have a larger barrel length to comply with our silly gun laws, and also the enormous and labour-intensive shipping fees.
There is a Kel-Tec SUB-2000 with a 10 round glock mag at a pawn shop five minutes away from me for $280. I'm sure I could talk 'em down too. and apparently it's never been fired.
This would obviously be useless in a combat situation, but I think it's kind of neat. It's a 9mm blank pistol that costs $150. No license required for it, (live in Canada) can carry it anywhere concealed or not since it isn't a firearm and really isn't even a weapon just a really loud noise maker. acts just like a normal pistol except doesn't shoot bullets. Since we can't conceal carry an actual firearm I'd say this is a good choice. If some guy was to approach you in the dark and try to mug you and you pulled that out and shot in the air I don't think he'd be questioning if its a real gun or not. Most of the time the guys that are mugging people are just a group of 3 unarmed scum who try to muscle it out of you
Picture of our AK. Picked it up for $350. Its a egyptian build AK. Shoots so nice, I love it.
Nice furniture. The old AK I used to have was ugly.
I disagree: M1 .30 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=214200559
Thats not a "real" M1 carbine. Universal makes a copy. They even make some weird saw-off version IIRC. [editline]2nd February 2011[/editline]
So my Revolver order fell through. Tried to buy a Mossberg 500 Cruiser... it too was back-ordered for 8 months. Thinking about buying a Kel-Tec SUB2000 [img_thumb]http://www.impactguns.com/store/media/keltec_sub_2000.jpg[/img_thumb] But not sure of it's restrictions in Canada. (I have both licenses, but do not belong to a gun club).
Sub 2000s are a ton of fun. I highly recommend them.
Yeah... I can only find one place that sells them online for $695! Ridiculous. Another website doesn't even get their shipment until Fall, and are charging the same price. I looked everywhere... if FP can help me find a good deal that ships to Canada, I'll be eternally grateful. (And if the price is, say, around $400 or less I'll even throw in a $20USD reward payable by PayPal).
I'm not sure you can ship a gun from the US to Canada. And if you could it'll cost so much in licensing fees it'll be a lot more than 600 CAD at the end of the day. Importers/exporters usually export guns in large batches so the duty fees even out a little. Shipping one gun by itself out must be a total bitch, even if it is legal to own in Canada.

Get a 33 round mag for it. mmmm

There used to be an add everywhere that was for a bank or something, maybe a phone company and the beat to their add that went the same way he pulled the trigger... Just reminded me of that's all.
The cheapest I can find a Kel-Tec in Canada is for $650, shipping at the end of this month. I think that's the best I'm gonna do...
honk honk milsurp is the best surp [editline]3rd February 2011[/editline]
There used to be an add everywhere that was for a bank or something, maybe a phone company and the beat to their add that went the same way he pulled the trigger... Getting my 1911 on saturday! :D
Anybody have any sites for buying guns? When I get my rifle license I am going to start shopping for a Mosin Nagant and a simple google search isn't really giving any insight as to where to get one.
where do you live? [editline]2nd February 2011[/editline] if they have gun shows in your area go to one and get your hands on a few of them and see if it's comfortable and if you can see yourself shooting it a lot. i'm not saying buy it there but it's nice to get your hands on the actual thing, that is if you haven't already
Florida. I live in a Northernized part of Florida but if I drive in any direction for like 30 min there are gunshows around every corner. [editline]2nd February 2011[/editline] Yea, I've handled the Lee Enfield, Mauser K98, Springfield 1903 (Vintage from WW2), and a Mosin Nagant. The Mosin felt and handled the best, so thats why I want one. They are also the cheapest of the four.
Go to gun shows, the prices there are pretty decent, but usually they'll vary. At a gun show I was at recently, I saw a Romanian made AK for $450, and later on saw the same one for $600
alright. my advice would be www.gunsamerica.com, they have a million filters to find exactly what you want to buy, anything from .22 pistols to full auto class-3 machine gun. it's similar to ebay; find a reputable dealer and call around to your local gun shops to find which has the lowest FFL transfer fee (usually around $25 bucks to give you your gun once you order it online.) I bought my AK at a gun show and I got ripped off and I regret it but there is always the benefit of being able to get your hands on exactly what you're going to buy. the shipping + FFL fee might have factored in even if I were to have got it $100 cheaper so I didn't get ripped off too bad.
Yeah, the one I went to is this one: http://www.tannergunshow.com/ which is pretty big, so the prices really vary with who's selling it [editline]2nd February 2011[/editline] Also, I'm looking through videos of guns on youtube, and some of the comments just make me rage On a video with a PLR-16 pistol:
Florida.
[bubba]Son, you don't need no license. That's for Canadians, Australians and silly Euros. You only need a clean record and a fistful of Benjamins.[/bubba] I hope you suddenly like America more.

Went to the local gun shop today (Clyde armory, check out their online store) and man they had some great shit... Got to fiddle around with all the guns I have been considering buying. I also got to hold a SCAR, VERY nice gun!
Can anyone recommend a Chinese SKS? Military stock, not refurbished. All matching parts. Bayonet, stripper clips and sling included. $200 Canadian.
That stock looks brand new. Seems like a good deal to me.
That wood almost looks plastic in that photo. I don't like really light wood, although I suppose that's just an aesthetic thing.
Being Dutch I only have an air rifle right now (A weihrauch HW-35, still a pretty one) However I'm planning on moving on to getting a license for the real deal later on when I have more dosh. Will I be ever able to get anything above .22/.22lr or 12/20gauge? :shobon: Cause all I can do right now is read and talk in this thread and go on /k/.
