Gotta read the previous posts better
But wouldn't a single stack anything be thinner and better suited for concealed carry?
Not in a fullsize 1911. I guess the smaller 1911s still have 7 rounds. meh. What I'm saying is that I'd sacrifice the caliber size for more rounds once the number of rounds goes below a certain point.

People tend to forget a longer bullet does more damage than a fatter one.
45 is good and all, but the only loading for 45acp I REALLY like is running 255gr lead SWC at around 800fps. Turns concrete blocks into dust, and penetrates ridiculously deep.
147gr 9mm +P+ is still one hell of a load that is very over looked. 357sig gets all the fan fare but people don't realize it's just a 9mm +P+.
The penetration depth and the length of the bullet for 147gr 9mm loads makes it a very potent combination that I think is extremely overlooked in today's world of koolaid drinkers.
17 rounds of something that rivals a 357 magnum in a 22ounce gun, or 7-8 rounds of 45acp in a 42+ ounce gun. You tell me which is more practical.

17 rounds of that in a heavier gun (less felt recoil)
I want a gun, but I think legally I'm not allowed :(

What state are you in? Also do you live on a big block of land?
I wonder if anybody has ever done a Nintendo Zapper gun. For example Ruger's .22 pistols could be propably modified to look like it.

I'm not sure, but I think it's illegal to modify firearms, so they look like something else than a firearm. Might depend on where you live though.

I've never ran +p+ or even +p ammo through my 9mm. I was talking standard pressure before, but you're right. When I buy a new 9mm, I'll have to get some +p+.

Glocks have less perceived recoil than a "heavier gun."
Especially the new gen 4s. When we're talking about 9mm, recoil really doesn't factor in anyway.
If you've ever carried a gun, you'd understand lighter is better.
My new pistola!

Very safe, a pen in the trigger guard only centimeters from the trigger.
Very safe, a pen in the trigger guard only centimeters from the trigger.
because obviously he didn't make sure it was unloaded first
:frog:
Just because it is unloaded and on safe mode doesn't mean you can still play with it willy nilly. Its a gun not a toy.
Very safe, a pen in the trigger guard only centimeters from the trigger.
Hammer is down.
Doesn't matter what you think, it's impossible for it to fire. The trigger no longer affects anything with the hammer down.

Still dumb to say that it's unsafe, I doubt a pen has enough weight to press the trigger down.

Lol you seriously think a plastic pen would be able to pull the trigger?
Just because it is unloaded and on safe mode doesn't mean you can still play with it willy nilly. Its a gun not a toy.
Because standing it up and taking pics of it means you're playing with it
I know what you're saying, as for me safety with firearms is paramount, but I hope you're not one if those people that treat a gun like it's an atomic bomb that goes off if it's feeling ornery
Very safe, a pen in the trigger guard only centimeters from the trigger.
hahaha, you'd probably make sure all windows in the house are closed since the wind could pull the trigger.
.
Very safe, a pen in the trigger guard only centimeters from the trigger.
Most 1911's have a 7 pound trigger pull (If I remember correctly)
The reason for this is so the trigger doesn't get pulled all the way unless intended
I need a price check:
500rds - 22LR CCI Blazer 40gr. Solid Point Ammo
$26.36
0.05272 per round
thanks
That's a really good price for CCI ammo.
That's a really good price for CCI ammo.
really? I was thinking a good price would be more like $20
really? I was thinking a good price would be more like $20
If CCI is the brand I think it is (Usually comes in plastic sliding boxes, right?) then that's very good.
Very safe, a pen in the trigger guard only centimeters from the trigger.
It's a proper display procedure, people do it all the time.
Granted, not exactly with pens.

CCI Mini Mags come in the sliding boxes, yeah.
I'm not so sure on the stuff JDK is looking at, just because it is plain lead..no copper wash. Could foul up a barrel.

Yeah, whatever.
Anyone here own a Benelli Supernova? I'd like to know your experiences with it, if it's worth getting, costs, etc

I fired a gen 4 Glock 17 and a Smith & Wesson 1911 and they both had the same amount of recoil despite the 1911 firing .45 ACP, because it was a heavier gun. Also the Glock is flimsy plastic. I hate plastic guns, no matter how reliable or durable you tell me they are.

Polymer, not plastic!
